Thinking about building Push-native Ableton racks for Massive X (Native Instruments) — would there be interest?
Hey everyone! Over the past few months I've been building a series of Ableton Live Instrument Racks that let you browse VST synth presets directly from Push, no mouse required — each rack comes with 16 pre-mapped macros.
I've already released packs for Omnisphere (35,000+ presets), Serum 2 (626 presets), Pigments (1,721 presets + an additional third-party bank), Output Portal, Output Thermal, and DB-30 Drum Butter, and now I'm considering giving Massive X the same treatment.
The pack would include the Factory Library, the Player Library, and every expansion I own (Beam, Bounce, Bump, Charge, Drive, Fade, Haze, Kino, Mechanix, Moebius, Pulse, Quest, Rush, Scene, Wake) — over 3,000 presets total, organized by bank/category.
One technical detail I really like: just like with Serum, Massive X exposes readable parameter names natively, so every macro would show the exact parameter name as it appears in the plugin — no generic "Macro 1, Macro 2," just clearly labeled controls you can read at a glance on Push.
I personally don't use Massive X that much in my own workflow, but I think it has a genuinely great sound engine and could be useful to people who lean on it more than I do. Rough price point I'm considering: around €10.
Before diving into the work I wanted to gauge interest first: would this be something people would want? Feedback, requests on how to structure the racks, or any questions are all welcome!
