First Term

Okay, I just finished the first term of my degree plan. I can say it wasn't bad. Honestly, since this is AI-based, I didn't know what to expect. I've never done any training where there hasn't been a real person in the room, per se. I'm not sure what the future holds, as in whether this is going to get harder, more complex, or too much for my pea brain. PHY101 and CS101 tested me for sure. I'm not a coder or some kind of tech that has a background in AI or coding. I am interested in AI and what the future holds for AI and human interface/usage. I'm 57, and I can still remember my Commodore 64 computer that my parents bought me in the early 80's. I wrote a program to balance a checkbook, and they thought that was amazing. Now, here I am taking classes and trying to get a degree, being taught by AI. Who would have thought? I am a bit concerned about the CS102 coming next. Can anyone who has taken CS102 already give me some insight into what to expect?

Maestro University June 2026

Well, just got my grade for PHY101 and passed with an 83. So, at this point, my first impression is that Maestro is interesting, fun, different, and challenging. I'm able to tell it to change the way it teaches me, so it's tailored to the way I learn or want to learn. This is a new and innovative way to teach or be taught. I am going to see about getting my daughter into AI-type learning and see how she does. I think kids of today learn differently from the way I learned years ago. This could be a game-changer.

So, yes, I live in Texas. Don't hold that against me. I'm probably older than most of the new students. I have four kids fixing to retire, soooo... Anyway, I'm a bit nervous about going back to school while holding down a full-time job and doing it via AI. I don't mind putting in the work, just not sure what to expect workload-wise. I haven't seen anything on whether this was a full-load semester-type program or an at-your-own-pace program, or what. Any pointers, suggestions, or ideas for making sure I don't screw this up?
