Hey guys, I (19F) just got diagnosed with Bertilottis syndrome and after a few months finally have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon for a consult this week. I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice on the best ways to discuss this with the doctors so that I won't be dismissed as being overdramatic or anxious, which has happened before. Any advice to hopefully help me be taken seriously?
I'm looking into making some hygiene kits to distribute in my town since our homeless shelters lost a lot of funding because of budget issues. I know general things to include that are on most lists, like tissues, toothbrushes, band-aids, and sunscreen. I wanted to see about getting a better idea of what's actually useful, especially for the upcoming summer. I don't know how useful things like actual soap and shampoo would be since I know not everyone has opportunities to shower regularly, or if things like solid shampoo bars and soap bars would be better/worse than liquid body wash and shampoo. Any suggestions would be great! Planning to have kids at the camp I work at help me pack things this June.
