Today the ECB announced "Digital Euro High-Level Task Force (Digital Euro HLTF) - List of participants"

The Banca d'Italia's appointee is Chiara Scotti--formerly of the Federal Reserve and graduate of UPenn and Bocconi (home of Algorand Fintech Labratory).

Most importantly, while at the Federal Reserve she co-wrote a paper titled "The Financial Stability Implications of Digital Assets" with former Chief Economist of Algorand, Pablo Azar.
