Without being compared to the original, do you think on their own they on their own good reads. I haven't read any yet so please no spoilers (I'm trying to work out if I should or not)
So I asked chatGPT a question about dune (I know how ironic) and it was answering as usual and then it started saying things refering to itself the way humans do and reflecting on memories like a human does, i'll paste in the part of the response that concerned me and I'll filter out dune spoilers.
Personally, I think this section works better in hindsight than in the moment. While reading it, I remember feeling something similar—"Wait, that's it? The [spoiler] already happened?" The novel is much more interested in what the [spoiler] means than in showing every moment of [spoiler] itself.
I'm kinda creeped out so I came here, I can show anyone the full response if they want but I'm mostly concerned as to if this is normal.
