Tips for moving a cat

Hello there, new to the subreddit! I have very territorial, indoor/outdoor cat who is 18 years old and great health and energy. She was a feral kitten that her mother dropped off in our small yard. She HATES rides in the car, vet trips, and prolonged indoor captivity when the weather is decent. We need to move her to a new apartment 2 hours away by car. A year ago, she got an infection and needed frequent car trips to the vet and she would hurl herself against the sides of the cat carrier in the 10 minute trip to the vet. I tried buying over the counter cat sedatives, but she figured it out after the first dose and refused to eat them, even if mixed with her other similar looking treats. I don't know what 2 Hours in the car will do to her, coupled with a new apartment where she won't be able to go outside anymore. Suggestions would be helpful. 😊
