I've got a grade 3 ABRSM exam in just over two weeks, and I'm currently barely reading at a grade 2 level when it comes to sight reading. Am I cooked?
I can perform scales and songs at a grade three level, but I am new to sight reading. I have managed to acquire skills needed for grade one level, but I cannot read at grade 3 level. What is the best advice you can give me? (My biggest problem is slurs -- syncopation and eighth notes are grade 2 level, so that isn't TOO MUCH of a problem.)
