They're definitely trolling us with these "rewards" but 5K sheckles has to be the trolliest. 😂

  • Nerfs can come midweek (🤞), but this version really shouldn't have been released.
  • The reward system is lazy, completely random, and fairly insulting at any level — a lot of us have come to this conclusion.
  • So I've put together some useful resources for the devs to look into before dropping future events. 😉
  • If you're enjoying the update: hooray! You just keep having fun. 👍
  • If you're frustrated, I suggest logging in for 150K daily if you want you the seed and just leaving it at that.
  • Don't even look at the "rewards." Save yourself the annoyance. 🧘‍♀️

Dragon's FW + Chimera = Tiki Totem x2 🥲

"RNG Luck" made a double visit today. 🤸 Very cool plant with slight variations. Kudos, designers.

Do points roll over each day? (probably a Q for last year's players)

  • Playing solo and curious if the points over 150K count toward the next day's total.
  • If so, I want to get as many as possible and aim for lower submissions each hour.
  • The rewards for Prismatic and Transcendent have been "meh" at best.
  • I didn't start until the Cooking Event + none of last year's posts here in the sub seem to mention it.
  • In fact, last year's posts mostly say the best rewards were between 4K and 12K for the hourly submissions.
  • TYIA!

I *hate* that you can't turn off collecting fruit. If I'm holding something, that means I'm not harvesting. 😡 😄

Only seems to stop with trowel and favorite tool. Using a watering can? Collects fruit. Shovel? Collects fruit. Not to mention opening an egg or crate you placed too close—collects fruit. I would be thrilled with a fix for this. Harvest tool is really the only exception.

Use two FFF in Lion/Hotdog/Griffin leveling. Not three.

With normal-sized, non-RBH pets:

  • two ferrets fire every 15s = 480 levels per hour (before Inferno boosts)
  • three ferrets fire every 25s = 432 levels per hour (before Inferno boosts)

When you take out the pea, you slow down the chain. And since people seem to be having issues with the chain not working, leaving the pea in resolves the chain issue and it levels faster.

Best Setup: Lion, Hotdog, Pea, Griffin x2, Ferret x2, Target.

TIME LAPSED 2 FERRETS EVERY 15s 3 FERRETS EVERY 25s
1 min 4 procs = 8 levels 2 procs = 6 levels
2 min 8 procs = 16 levels 4 procs = 12 levels
3 min 12 procs = 24 levels 7 procs = 21 levels
4 min 16 procs = 32 levels 9 procs = 27 levels
5 min 20 procs = 40 levels 12 procs = 36 levels
10 min 40 procs = 80 levels 24 procs = 72 levels
30 min 120 procs = 240 levels 72 procs = 216 levels
60 min 240 procs = 480 levels 144 procs = 432 levels

Me hoping rumors about Shark are true🤞 + grinding this final week.

  • Every "Craft an Inferno Pet" quest is a 40% chance Inferno Pet Shard for the future. 😂
  • Keep already completed Campfire Eggs ready in your crafting station. If you get any kind of quest—especially Campfire Egg 😄—claim them and they count.
  • Plant 5-6 of each Campfire Seed to have ready for harvesting quests.
  • I appreciate the return of Choose Your Own Reward, but do wish they were better. Throw Inferno shards in there. 👀
  • Anything else? I'm just gathering a little arsenal of Inferno Dogs and hoping the Shark is 1. Real and 2. Obtainable for players and not DLC. 😉

Shark Rumor:

>Every 6 minutes, the Shark will consume a mutated pet that is 100+ and then spit that mutation at a different pet in your garden.

>There is a 40% chance to apply the mutation to the target pet. If it fails, the Shark will level up the target pet by 90 levels instead.

Gigantic mutation bugged? Anyone else trying?

  • I dropped a Griffin in with my Mimics — currently have Gigantic x2, Exalted x2, Everchanted x2 — to see if would speed up the CD on Gigantic.
  • Without the Griffin, I noticed the Exalted ones get all three boosts, but not Everchanted (perhaps the two mutations are not friends 😄).
  • But even as the CD reduces on the Gigantic proc, it never happens — not even on the Exalted ones — and there's no onscreen text.
  • Help/thoughts?

Inferno Elephant: Big reason I did it.

  • Just leveled a pet from hatch weight to maxed and age 500 in 1h 15m.
  • Griffin is a good example of reasons to still KG boost. Whether it's a 3.9 base or a 6.1 base Griffin: you can only reach the 5m CD with a toy (small works for both).
  • Some pets can cap before age 500 if they're boosted to a certain weight.

Just did a test run of boosting a pet from 2.09kg to age 500 and fully maxed.

  • Did it in two phases. My "data" is below because my nerd brain loves "how things work." 😂
  • Note: I don't have Albino Pea(s), a Whale, or any OP RBH pets. 😉 I'm a bit curious to know they might change things. Not enough to buy them, though. 😄

Garden:
Used my Diamond Panther strawberry garden to ensure fruits with 7+ mutations for Everchanted boosts.

Pet Roster:
Everchanted GCP, 6.1kg (medium toy boost to all pets > +5% from Transcendent)
Inferno Lion, 6.1kg
Inferno Hotdog, 3.9kg
Inferno Pea, 7.24kg
Inferno Griffin x2, 3.9kg
Inferno Elephant, 2.8kg
Inferno FFF x2, 3.9kg
Target = Shadow Cat, 2.09
-----

First Phase:

I placed my 6 Inferno pets two at a time and 1m apart. Slightly tedious, but it optimized the process for me. (Is there a better way...?)

After they synced, added GCP and target.

GCP fired 30K+ XP on a loop courtesy of Lion/Hotdog/Pea/Griffins.

Before Inferno procs, that setup would catch the Shadow Cat somewhere around age 26-34 and add 24.

Based on how they were placed, it does this 3x back-to-back.

Elephant fires pretty much nonstop, so there's only a few seconds of wait time for the KG boost reset.

Chart below of the times I recorded while doing it.

-----

Second Phase:

When the target was KG maxed and around age 40:

Took out Elephant and Pery. Dropped in two Inferno Ferrets to AFK to 500.

2.09 base to fully maxed and age 500 in about 1h 15m.

TIME AGE WEIGHT BASE
414p 2 2.28 2.09
417p 17 5.4 2.20
421p 17 5.94 2.42
450p 30 12.8 3.52
456p 25 11.9 3.74
459p 17 9.45 3.85
501p 1 3.96 3.96
5:04p Pet is 40 when I swap to Ferrets
5:30p Pet is maxed at 500

Happy to see thoughts on better optimizing it with the pets I already have!

Phoenix + Squids =

And do we think devs will fix Inferno proc issue? 👀

As for Phoenix: I used 1 Phoenix and 7 Squids — all 500 — and got a bonus of +12 and one of +17. But the Phoenix description says "10 - 40" will be added. So at minimum... Seems like I should have gotten 80.

Then I tried again with *all four* of my Phoenixes — maxed — and got +40 both times.

I know that's a very small sample group, so before I go to get another four, has anyone else tested it out?

u/Lumpy_Risk_7326 — 13 days ago

Kinda mesmerizing. 🤩

Synced up Lion, Daschund, Griffins, Pea, and Ferrets — leveling a Ruby Squid for mutation. Seeing it in action felt like “ohhhhh, now I get it!” 😄 Q: Is it still a “no” on Inferno Lions? Still confused on that one.

Edit: I followed the advice of others in this sub on this one: Lion x1, Daschund x1, Pea (not Albino) x1, Griffins x2, and Ferrets x2. I didn't place them in any particular order. They just progressively align.

  • Lion calls all pets with a CD together.
  • Hotdoggy drops mustard that makes Pea proc nonstop.
  • Peas + Lion + Hotdoggy are all cooling Griffins so they also fire nonstop.
  • All of that combines to make Ferrets proc every 15ish seconds.
  • Ferrets never say "ready" and the timer never hits 0 — it just runs a cycle.
  • Hotdoggy also reduces Inferno CD timer from 15m to firing every 10m. It ticks like normal from 15m down to 5m and then restarts at 15m.
  • Every so often, the Lion walks to a new spot and they sync up again.
  • I haven't timed mine, but I've seen other people using variations of this say 100 to 500 takes 30ish minutes.

How did everyone get their leveling teams to be 500 so fast? 🥴😄

  • My tethered team of Ferrets, Peas, and Spider moves fast, but not 2K+ levels in one afternoon fast. 😂
  • The only way Ferrets or Panthers are effective for leveling is if they're all 500... curious how people tackled that considering:
  • Lollipop mechanics shift after age 100 (rude). Burned through 3K on 1.5 Ferrets.
  • Dragon's Fireworks stop working at 125 (grr).
  • Panther is "suddenly" at 10-15% — nowhere near the 30% cap and noticeably less than before.

Help: Anyone successfully done a "report this to devs!" on this issue?

Trying to gift someone here a Mistletoad and every method leads to a message like this. No idea why, but I welcome insights. TYIA 🙏

Dragon's Fireworks for pet leveling: what method(s) do you use?

  • Since 20% of DFW (1 in 5) level up a pet, they come in handy. I'm curious how other players might be farming/using them.
  • I use my coconut garden (around 790). Start with spreading 7+ mutations (Diamond Panther style) to make sure I get the Everchanted medium boosts.
  • Run New Year's Dragon + 7 Mimics for a while to spread Firework. One of my biggest issues with AFK farming DFW is running out of fruit with the mutation, so this helps.
  • My AFK team is NYD x3, Griffin x2, Daschund, Lion, and Pea. I've tested different configurations, but this one consistently yields 200-225 per hour.
  • When using them, I have only the target pet(s) out and use auto-click.
  • If I care about getting something that stocks: I wait for a restock to happen first, then auto-click for around 3 minutes at a time.
  • With those last 2 minutes, I go buy everything that stocked before the next restock takes it away.
  • Repeat. 😄

Inventory UI Upgrade = 🏆 🏅 💪 🤩

Seems like it's a work in progress given the placeholders, etc., but this is phenomenal on PC (haven't tried mobile). Winner, winner. 🐔 🍽️

u/Lumpy_Risk_7326 — 22 days ago

The streak is broken. 🎉🎉🎉

  • FINALLY hatched a Mimic. 🥹 I've now hatched every pet from every egg since I started playing last Spring. This one is headed to Age Break Machine. A mimic I didn't have to buy. 🤸
  • Never got a Legacy Sunflower on my main (only an alt), so this feels irrationally triumphant. 😄🏆
  • Anyone else have a "finally" moment lately? 💪 This game can be such a roller coaster. 😂

Fire Wisp: Ember Ruby Squid, Dragon's Fireworks, Giant Golem v Ember

  • I saw a question about Ember on non-cd pets. Went AFK a few times yesterday using the pets in the last pic (there could be better; it came from a YouTuber). Only took a couple hours. Then I did overnight AFK with a CD pet and nothin' yet. RNG mind games. 😄
  • Saw another person ask about the pet size difference between Ember and Giant Golem. Looks like Ember is bigger.
  • Dragon's Fireworks = Levelup Lollipops. I've been taking pets from 50 to 100 using these and getting some good restocks, too (Mango, Grape, Master + Grandmaster Sprinklers, etc.). Put out a Chimera team for those.
  • Hatched a Fire Wisp on my third egg Saturday and another one yesterday—but over a year later, still not one Mimic... 😂 Hoping this event changes that. 🤞
  • I'm not convinced Ember is w0rth the effort + failed attempts (I'm not using my lollipops or a lot of chews just yet) for an extra 2%. Same reason I have exactly two pets with Giant Golem—it's just too much effort for me. 😄
  • If someone has found pets where it makes a real difference, I'd love to know. Seems pretty negligible right now.

Aww. 😢 Plants are back to showing % grown instead of time remaining.

I am also very late to the Zebrazinkle party. 😄 Planted 10 in a single column and kinda love how they grew.

u/Lumpy_Risk_7326 — 28 days ago

Anyone else remember an admin abuse from last year when they stocked a ridiculous number of mangoes?

Someone posted this nine months ago (I searched for it 😄) and I wonder if this is from that day.

Between those seeds and my inclination to stockpile literally everything in this game—"just in case"—I will run out of patience for keeping this fire going before I run out of mango seeds. 😂

Hot Takes: Smithing Event + Harvest Party = ⛺️🔥

"Winning" = Pets + People + Paying attention...?*

Good so far: Orchid Mantis/Cockatrice (make 'em silver/gold/rainbow), Cape Buffalo (double 'em), Pack Bees (hold more of 'em). Usual suspects on mutations or size if you're invested enough. Rest seems to be timing and teamwork.

Perhaps another day for me. Bee update has drained my will to craft loads of areaclaimers. 😄

*Also seems to be another great update for scripters and friends of scripters...
