Hello Nijmegen!! I’m a 26 year old gal from Denmark who’s currently here for a 3 month apprenticeship, and since I’m here alone, it’s getting a little lonely.. so I’d love to meet new people, socialise and go out!
Is there any particular places that’s nice to go to alone? Which bars are best for meeting new people?

And if anyone is down to have a slightly shy, kinda alternative looking looking, Danish girl tag along, let me know! :3

Hello, Nijmegen!

I’ve been lucky enough to land an 3 months long apprenticeship in a small town near Nijmegen.
I’ve never been to Nijmegen before, but I’ve only heard good things so far, so I’m really excited to experience the city!

Since I’m traveling alone and have never been here before, I’d love some recommendations on what to do, see, try, taste, and where to go.

I’m a 26 year old woman from Denmark. I’m a bit quiet and shy at first, but I also love being social and going out.
I love live concerts, especially rock, though I also dabble in metal and punk (former emo kid… maybe also current XD). Are there any venues or bars that regularly play rock music?

I’m also into history, architecture, and nature, so if there are any must see places, I’d love to hear about them!

I’d especially like to try some local dishes, but I’m also looking for good student-friendly places to eat. And I’m a total sucker for sushi! it’s my one occasional splurge, so if there are any amazing sushi spots, please let me know!

I’d also love recommendations for places that are good and safe for a woman to visit alone at night. I’d love to meet new people, but going out solo can be a little intimidating.

And lastly! are there any areas I should avoid after dark?
