Nanote Next 7" on top of a Chuwi Minibook X for scale
Is it good? No
Is it powerful? No
Is it energy efficient? Absolutely not
Good build quality? Lol
Does it play back video ok? Ehhh, somewhat. It can play youtube at 720p without dropping too many frames.
It comes with an Intel Pentium J4205 from 2016 and released basically right as the cpu hit end of life in 2022-2023. It needs a thermal pad placed between the bottom case and passive CPU heat sink so it doesn't throttle as fast. Otherwise it will throttle under idle basically!
The best feature I've found is that it will boot off a micro sd card which is really nice for dual booting linux on it!
The build quality is especially atrocious. Came new in box with a dead pixel and panel gaps that would make a tesla blush. The bottom part of the laptop dips noticeably (in person) in the center and contributes to the panel gap issue.
It also comes with a 12v only USB C charger. That means if you ever try to use it for another device it might very well fry it. It does support USB PD though so I just kept the included charger in the box.
All that said, neat device! Would not recommend it except as a novelty
