I bloody did it!

And so it arrived.
The dreaded WK5R3.
No repeats so far.
Straight in.
It WAS tough but I bloody did it!
That last 2 minutes felt like another 20 but I made it!
Tears of joy.
Crimson and sweaty but oh so proud right now!
I’m still slow BUT I completed it.

45yr old, mother of 4-had never run 5 weeks ago-just ran for 20 minutes straight!!! 💃🏻

Diary of a Human Beetroot: WK4D3 Completed!

I’m still here. Amazingly!

Now feel more like a beetroot than a tomato hence no actual pictures of me!

Where do I start? WK4 Madness!
At the beginning of WK4 I had butterflies and honestly felt a bit sick before that first run.
How on earth was I going to do 5 minutes? Twice?!!
But I did. Repeatedly!
Run 2 I found myself saying great, only 3 minutes to begin with…….
…….What?! Who even are you??!
You are a 45 year old women who’s never ran in her life with a fitness level of nothing saying to yourself: "ah good, only a 3 minute jog to start off"
This is still madness to me. And yet there’s more!
Run 3 and the last 5 minute jog was coming to an end but I felt I had more to give so I kept going…….I ran (very slowly jogged) for 12 minutes!!!
Now I did feel a bit wobbly in my legs when I slowed to a walk, was a glorious shade of crimson and sweating quite a bit but can’t believe I managed that!

I was thinking of repeating WK4, the app even suggests it but now I think I’ll try the dreaded WK5 straight off. I’m looking forward to the challenge!
Seriously, who am I?!

My pace is slow but I know that takes time.
Better fitness and belief in myself.
Thank you C25K.
For anyone that is struggling, you got this.
If I can get this far so can you.

I can feel it working.
Need to stop doubting myself.
I got a bit worked up before this run. Was really worried I just couldn’t run for 3 minutes straight. I scrolled through this group reading so many amazing accounts - triumphs, failures, great tips! It really helped. I didn’t think I was going too fast before but I slowed my pace very slightly for wk3 and it really helped my stamina. I was really out of breath after WK2D3 which is what got me worried for WK3…….
…….But I bloody got through that 3 minute (light jog) run and was so elated when lovely Sarah Millican told me to slow down to a brisk walk that the tears started streaming down my sweaty face! My pace is slow but I did it. Then I did it again! I finished and am so proud of myself! Actually looking forward to WK3D2 now!
