Here’s a pair of 5ft hybrids that I donated. They were won as a 1st place raffle prize at the 2026 Midwest Whip Open

I got asked to donate a whip to the 2026 Midwest Whip Open hosted by John Cantin. These custom 5ft hybrids in University of Montana colors (Maroon/Gold) were delivered earlier today 👍

Here’s a 7ft 24 strand bullwhip

The braiding is all kangaroo leather, and it’s got 2 braided layers inside. There’s also a spring steel handle foundation. Lots of prep went into the 24 strands I used to braid the outside layer.

I made a Caviler’s Hat!

My old Renaissance Faire hat was starting to sag, so I decided to try remaking it. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! It’s made of 3oz veg tan cow hide.

I made a simple pocket holster

This is a simple pocket holster that I made
For a S&W Bodyguard. I’m more of a whip maker than a holster maker, but this was fun. I’m not well versed in stitching so I just kind of winged it based on Tony See tutorials I followed years ago.

4oz veg tan cow hide, kangaroo hide for the grip strip.

Howdy! I’m on month 6 of learning.

I’m self taught. I told myself 20 years ago that I’d start learning when I could afford an instructor but that’s not where the cards have landed, and I’m not getting any younger.

Please let me know if you see anything I could be doing better. I practice at least 30 minutes a day, and I am taking this instrument very seriously with what resources I have.
