🎇🇺🇸Happy Independence Day🇺🇸🎆

Today I wear my 1958 Timex Southampton, a watch made in the USA.

This watch has seen more of the USA's history than anything else in my collection. Wars, prosperity, economic boom and bust... 68 years of change, challenges and brotherhood. 68 years of time keeping.... It is still here, ticking away.

I hope, 250 years from now, this watch and the United States, will celebrate together once more.

🎇Happy Independence Day!🎆

Be safe and look out for each other.🇺🇸

Quick reminder!

Hey members of r/Timex

Just a quick, friendly, reminder from the mods here of r/Timex.

At the end of last year a rule was instituted to prohibit the sharing of photos with a vehicles steering wheel visible, unless it meets certain criteria.

Rule #6 states:

No steering wheel photos in motion.

If you post a pic with the steering wheel in the background, it must show a speedometer/ tachometer reading zero.

More recently there has been an uptick in these photos that do not meet the threshold for acceptance. Images of cars in the background with tail lights illuminated ("stopped") is not sufficient evidence to the MOD team that your vehicle is not in motion. Please see the highlighted criteria above for what the MOD team accepts for proof of a stationary vehicle.

We hope to continue to have a thriving, active and safe community here on Reddit. Along with being fantastic, law abiding members of our local communities.

If anyone has questions or concerns about rule #6, or any of the rules here at r/Timex; reach out to the MOD team via MOD mail. We can help clarify any questions you might have, before you post.

As always; Thank you all for taking the time to participate in r/Timex!

Let's see all of your fantastic Timex content!
