Title: The Seventh Division and the False Slave

[Scene: Seven Unit base]

When Nei tears start falling

Kojuma stared down at Nei, who had suddenly burst into tears. He knelt down on one knee, his tone softening slightly as he tried to console her.
Kojuma: "Hey... why are you crying?"

Nei looked up at him, sniffing as she tried to suppress her sobs. However, her crying had been loud enough to echo through the corridors, drawing the attention of the rest of the 7th Unit.

Yuuki came rushing into the hall first, skidding to a halt when he saw a strange man kneeling in front of Nei.
Yuuki (cautiously): "Sir... can you leave her, please?"

Kojuma glanced back, then slowly pulled his hand away from Nei. "My apologies. I only wanted to calm her down."

Himari and Shushu arrived right behind Yuuki. Himari immediately knelt down to bring herself to Nei's eye level. "What's wrong, Nei-chan? Did he do something to you?"

Nei (shaking her head, wiping her eyes):
"N ‟sob" ...no
He didn't do anything to me. B-but... sniff..." She looked up at Kojuma timidly. "...but he is Kyouka-chan's new slave."

Kojuma raised an eyebrow in sheer confusion.
Yuuki, Himari, and Shushu stared back and forth between Kojuma and Nei.

Their expressions shifted from relief to absolute bewilderment, realizing a massive misunderstanding had just taken place.
Yuuki bent down, offering a reassuring smile to Nei. "No, don't worry. Of course there's some other explanation, right?"
Nei, while wipe her eyes. “So... He wouldn't replace you Yuuki~san?” She looked up at Yuuki.

Shushu crossed her arms, turning a curious gaze toward Kojuma. "Are you really Kyouka's new slave?"

Kojuma (brow furrowing deeper): "Slave?"
Himari (blinking in surprise): "Didn't they explain it to you before sending you here?"
Kojuma: "Explain what?
Supreme Commander Yamashiro simply sent me to be a new member of the Seventh Division."

Yuuki stood up straight, clearing his throat to explain the situation.
"Well... Kyouka-san’s ability allows her to transform me into a slave that takes a specialized Shuuki monster form. We call it the 'Slave Form', and I use that power to help her fight against the real Shuuki."

Kojuma looked at him, utterly perplexed.
"You transform into a Shuuki monster?" He then shifted his gaze from Yuuki to Nei, Shushu, and Himari.
"And why exactly did you all expect me to be a slave as well?" put his hand on his hip. “Am not here to replacing you.” He looked at Yuuki.

Himari (shrugging):
"Is there any other purpose for a guy to be here?"
Kojuma crossing his arms
Kojuma:
"Supreme Commander Yamashiro officially enlisted me as a regular member of the Seventh Division, under the command of Chief Uzen."
Yuuki, Himari, and Shushu exchanged blank looks.
Himari:
"No difference. That means you will end up as a slave too."

From the hallway, a slightly voice of footsteps sound
Kyouka lookedat them.
Kyouka (walking down the corridor):
"No... it's different. He wouldn't not be my slave."
She stopped beside the group, her sharp eyes locking onto Kojuma.
"Ren just informed me about your transfer. Sorry for being late."
Kojuma (with a respectful nod):
"No need to apologize, Chief Uzen."

Kyouka turned her gaze toward her squad members, quickly clarifying the unprecedented situation to clear up the misunderstanding.

Yuuki (jaw dropping in utter disbelief): "Kojuma-san is able to use Peach blessings?!! "
Kyouka: "Something similar to it, yes."
Shushu (grinning with excitement):
"Whoa... It'll be incredibly interesting if that's real."

Himari stepped forward, her analytical eyes scanning Kojuma's form.
"An ability that mimics Peach blessings? It sounds somewhat similar to mine... but does it carry the same drawbacks? Or does that meteor energy allow you to bypass those limitations entirely?"

Kojuma crossed his arms, leaning back slightly. "For now, I have imitate around 25 different Peach blessings, and the vast majority of them function exactly like the original abilities."

Shushu: "I knew it! This is going to be so much fun!"
Kyouka: "Mind giving us a quick show, Kojuma?" she looked at him. “Is Ren kidding me or that “Imitation” Ability thing is actually right?”she thought while analysis him.
Kojuma (uncrossing his arms): "I don't mind, I suppose."

-> He rise his hands.

Brought his hands together, seamlessly forming the dhyāna mudrā meditation gesture. In a sudden flash of light, a circular array of radiant, golden Mandala cards materialized, floating elegantly around his body.

Kyouka’s eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat. Yuuki stared at the golden cards in absolute, paralyzing shock.
‘Impossible...’ Kyouka thought, her heart hammering against her ribs. ‘This ability belongs to...’

Yuuki (stuttering in shock):
"Is that... Ren-san's Vairocana?!"
Shushu & Nei (in unison): "Ehhhhhh?!"
Himari stared intently at the floating cards. She counted them—exactly eight cards just like Ren's. A specific theory crossed her mind, but she chose to keep her thoughts to herself for the time being.

Kyouka quickly regained her composure, though her voice still carried a hint of awe. "Kojuma... is this really..."
Kojuma: "Yes. Supreme Commander Yamashiro's ability... Vairocana."

Kyouka, inner thoughts: “I was expected something like the same fireball he did thought the exam.“ She looked at the cards. “But Ren's... A Supreme Commander ability.

Suddenly, the loud sound of boiling water echoing from the kitchen shattered the tense silence. Yuuki stiffened, his face turning pale. "I completely forgot! The lunch!" He spun around and dashed frantically toward the kitchen.

Kojuma dropped his stance, causing the golden Mandala cards to dissolve into particles of light.

Nei stepped closer to him, looking down sheepishly. "Wow... Uh, I'm really sorry Kojuma-san... For the misunderstanding earlier..." she looks bit regretful.

Kojuma offered a faint, reassuring smile. He bent down slightly and gently patted her pink hair. "It's alright, don't worry about it."

Shushu, nudging Himari with a smirk:
"Look at him.Is he just pretending to be cold but is actually a total softie for Nei? Or does he just lower his guard around her?"
Himari (sighing):
"Maybe a bit of both."

Nei turned around, her energetic demeanor completely returning. "I am Nei Ookawamura!" she chirped. "I'm going to go help Yuuki in the kitchen, and then I'll properly introduce myself!" With that, she turned and sprinted after Yuuki.

Shushu struck a dramatic, confident pose, pointing a thumb at herself.
"Suruga Shushu!"
Himari cast a deadpan look at Shushu's antics before turning back to Kojuma.
"Seven unit vice chief... Himari Azuma. And that guy from before was Yuuki Wakura, as called by Kyouka slave."

Kyouka sigh, she uncrossed her arms
Kyouka:
“I guess you're already know me, Kyouka Uzen your new captain.” she looked at himari for a moment. “As well, Yuuki as partner.

Kojuma nods (respectively):
"Pleased to meet you all."

[Scene: The Dining Room]

During lunchtime, the members of the 7th Unit sat in a traditional circle on the tatami mats, bowls of steaming food laid out before them.
As Kojuma reached out to take a bite, Kyouka quietly observed him from across the table. She noted his precise movements and the disciplined way he carried himself. She don't know why but that subtly reminded her of herself.
Kojuma chewed thoughtfully, then looked over at Yuuki.
"This is delicious...
Thank you, Wakura."
Yuuki proudly slapped a hand over his chest, beaming with satisfaction.
"You're very welcome, Kojuma-san!"

Ending Panel:
Suddenly, a strange, high-pitched humming sound vibrated through the air. A vivid purple glow illuminated the room as ethereal white feathers began to drift down from the ceiling, dissolving into nothingness right before touching the floor.

Space fractured seamlessly behind Yuuki, tearing open into an Ame no Mitori portal.
Tenka Izumo stepped gracefully through the rift. Without missing a beat, she reached out, a playful smirk on her face as she leaned in and pinched Yuuki's cheek.
Tenka:
"Did you really think you could stay out of my sight, Yuuki-kun?"

As she teased him, Tenka’s eyes drifted sideways, catching sight of Kojuma sitting quietly at the table
Some guy wearing the Anti-Demon corps uniform, or something like it (of course she will get curious)
Even Yuuki haven't something like this.
Kojuma merely raised an eyebrow in quiet bewilderment, staring back at the unexpected intruder.

Title: The Copycat and the Commander’s Exception

[Scene: Supreme Commander's Office]

Ren Yamashiro sat behind her massive desk, her sharp gaze locking onto Kojuma as a calculated test of pressure. However, Kojuma met her eyes with utter composure, completely unbothered. Ren: "Kojuma Tachikuma, correct?" Kojuma gave a silent, firm nod. Ren: "Ginna handed me the report of your enlistment exam from a week ago. Fireballs? Quite fascinating."

Kojuma (cutting her off calmly): "No offense intended, Supreme Commander, but it seems there has been a slight misunderstanding. Who said my ability is related to fire?"

Ren stared at him for a quiet moment, then glanced down at the document on her desk. "What do you mean?"

Kojuma: "Well, I have no intention of lying to the Supreme Commander of the entire corps. That would only bring me trouble down the line, or make you suspect me."

Ren: "Go on." Kojuma raised his left hand, revealing the sword gripped firmly in it. He opened his palm, letting go of the hilt. Ren expected the blade to clatter against the floor, but it vanished into thin air before hitting the ground. Kojuma: "To put it simply, without overcomplicating things—my ability, i call it “Imitation”. Once I see a Peach blessing, analyze it, and fully understand its nature, I can replicate it to an extent." He raised his right hand, and the exact same sword that had just vanished rematerialized over his palm. "This is the 'Summons' ability, a Peach blessing I observed during the enlistment test." Ren scrutinized his facial expressions, searching for even a microscopic hint of deceit. “He serious isn't he?” she thought. Finding none, her gaze sharpened. "I want to check your 'Imitation' myself, Kojuma."

She seamlessly brought her hands together into the dhyāna mudrā meditation gesture. Instantly, a circular array of golden Mandala cards manifested, floating elegantly around her. Ren selected a card, her eyes flashing with a radiant gold hue. The chair she was sitting on began to levitate off the ground. Ren: "Show me your... Mimic thing, Kojuma."

Kojuma watched her closely. He analyzed the posture of her hands, the specific frequency of the Mandala cards, and the levitating chair. ‘This would be an incredibly useful ability to copy. ’ he thought. ‘I’ll prove my imitation to her while safely pocketing her power. As they say... killing two birds with one stone.’

Mimicing her exact stance, Kojuma brought his hands into the dhyāna mudrā position. He closed his eyes for a fraction of a second, focusing his mind entirely. 'A meditative stance... eight cards, each holding a distinct power, manifesting in a circular formation... just focus.'

-> A heartbeat later...

A flawless array of radiant, golden Mandala cards manifested, floating in a perfect circle around Kojuma, He Did Imitate the Vairocana... Ren stared at him, her usual composure shattering into pure shock. 'H-ow... this is impossible? '

Her focus faltered, causing her levitating chair to sink back down until it touched the floor. Kojuma opened his eyes, the golden cards spinning slowly around him. "Have I proven it to you now?" He glanced at his newly acquired cards, reading their properties aloud. "Flight/Levitation, Ability Negation, Shockwave Generation, Physical Enhancement, Teleportation, Superhuman Senses, Healing Factor, and..." Ren (cutting him off frantically before he could speak the final name): "Alright! She coughed You've proven it to me. Just shut your mouth!"

She stood up, pacing around her desk as she stared at him. The sheer gravity of what she had just witnessed left a rare trace of fluster on her face, though she quickly masked it. "Let's keep that last card a secret between the two of us, Kojuma."

Kojuma: "That specific card feels immense. It seems you have your fair share of deep secrets as well, Commander Yamashiro."

Ren looked down at his file, trying to process the revelation. "Why didn't you mention any of this so we could include it in the official report?" Kojuma: "Who would have believed me if I did? Besides, I'd likely end up as a lab rat for the corps, dissected just to figure out why a man possesses such power, wouldn't I?"

He crossed his arms, leaning back. "As for the origin of this power... I lost my clan and my home when I was five. I grew up in an orphanage deep within the Fukui forest until a few years ago. Twelve years ago, an event occurred." Kojuma calmly explained the incident.

After he finnished, he continue Kojuma: "And when I returned to the orphanage, I found myself instinctively copying a nun’s ability to generate fireballs." Ren listened intently, tapping her desk. "A strange meteor energy... It sounds bizarre, but then again, it's bit logical when compared to the existence of Mato peaches."

She observed him quietly, her mind spinning with strategic possibilities. 'I’ve already decided to induct him into the corps... temporarily She looked at him: After i win the elections, both of him and yuuki will go to Onmyou Agency for Conducting experiments.” she thought.“But for now... I need to secure his absolute loyalty. What if I place him in a different unit?'

Resting her chin in her hand, a calculating smile played on her lips. 'Kyouka Uzen has already gained plenty of experience dealing with men because of Yuuki. Plus, adding Kojuma to her roster will serve as an excellent distraction or a major responsibility for her regarding the upcoming elections.'

Leaning back slightly, she spoke aloud. "Very well, Kojuma Tachikuma." She picked up her tablet and sent a brief command. "Ginna, bring the uniform in." Turning her gaze back to Kojuma, her signature arrogant smile returned. "By a special exception granted exclusively by me, Ren Yamashiro... you are officially the first male officer in the history of the Anti-Demon Corps. As of this moment, you are assigned to the ranks of the 7th Unit."

Ginna Bizen walked into the office, carrying a sleek, matte-black box. Ren: "Kyouka Uzen is the Chief of the 7th Unit. Do your best to follow her orders. However..." She stepped closer to him, her voice dropping into a tone laced with supreme confidence and authority. "...Remember that... my commands always take absolute precedence in this corps."

Kojuma looked at her for a second, then shifted his gaze to the box. Ginna handed it over to him, a faint trace of nervousness in her posture. "You are officially part of the Anti-Demon Corps now."

Kojuma opened the box, revealing a uniform that looked distinctly unique and far more stylized compared to the standard issue attire. Ren: "You may use the adjacent room to change." Kojuma (lifting the uniform): "There's no need for that." Clap. A soft, sharp clap echoed through the silent room. In a flash of light, Kojuma’s civilian clothes instantly transformed into the official uniform. Ginna (gasping in shock): "H-huh?! Isn't that...?" Ren (smirking): "It seems you've mimic quite a peculiar ability from someone along the way."

Kojuma looked down, inspecting his new attire. "It feels a bit unusual. The long coat seems somewhat impractical for close-quarters combat. And this high collar might protect the neck, but it restricts downward vision."

Ren (walking around the desk toward him): "The long coat adds an undeniable aura of prestige. As for the high collar, it shields you from the wind so you won't catch a cold. And most importantly, Kojuma..." Ren stepped directly into his space. She formed the dhyāna mudrā gesture once more, selecting the 'Teleportation' card. Placing her finger lightly against his chest, she offered a smug, borderline teasing grin. "...Good luck in the Anti-Demon Corps."

-> A Flash!

In the blink of an eye, Kojuma vanished from the room.

[Scene: Gates of the 7th Unit Headquarters]

Kojuma materialized out of thin air directly in front of a traditional compound. He looked up at the exterior gate and the prominent wooden plaque hanging above it: 7th Unit Headquarters.

Taking a step forward, he walked through the gates and entered the main courtyard, navigating his way into the corridors.

As he walked down the hall, a young girl with long, vibrant pink hair spotted him. Nei Ookawamura (blinking in confusion): "Welcome to the 7th Unit Headquarters! Are you lost, sir?" She paused, her eyes dropping to the sleek, official uniform he was wearing, similar to the corps uniform.

Kojuma (his tone softening slightly): "Hello. I am Kojuma Tachikuma. Supreme Commander Yamashiro informed me that I am a member of the 7th Unit starting today. Can I meet Chief Uzen?"

Ending Panel: Nei stared up at him, her large eyes wide with absolute, overwhelming bewilderment. Nei: "A... A man...?" And then... she burst into tears?

-> A heartbeat later...

-> A Flash!

Anyway, enjoy chapter 6

Title: The Mato Incident and the Supreme Commander.

[Scene: In Tokyo Streets]

One week had passed.

Kojuma was walking down a bustling street, deep in thought. 'Ren Yamashiro wants to meet me by herself... They say she is the apex of humanity.' He crossed his arms, staring ahead. 'But how or where am I even supposed to meet her?' He continued walking. 'I suppose I’d have to get lost in Mato or something.'

He glanced behind him. There was a young couple nearby—a guy trying desperately to flirt with the girl he was with, while she completely ignored him.

Kojuma crossed a pedestrian bridge with the duo trailing a short distance behind. 'As usual, some girls are entirely arrogant in this world.'

Right in the middle of the bridge, a bizarre, tearing sound echoed through the air. Space itself fractured, and a sudden Mato portal ripped open right in front of them. A blinding white light engulfed the trio.

When Kojuma opened his eyes, he calmly analyzed his surroundings within seconds. A sinister, blood-red sky hung overhead, casting an eerie glow over a barren, rocky terrain punctuated by jagged stone hills.
The Girl (panicking in terror): "W-where on earth are we?!"

The Guy (trembling with fear as he checked his useless phone): "I don't know!" He looked at her pleadingly. "Y-you have to protect us! Please!"
The Girl (blinking in bewilderment): "Huh?! W-why me?!"

Kojuma let out a slow sigh, his voice maintaining an icy calm. "The strange environment, the portal from before...we are in Mato,I Guess."

The Girl: "Damn it! You've got to be kidding me! We're dead for sure!"

Kojuma cast a deadpan look at the panicked couple. He extended his right hand forward. In an instant, a sleek sword materialized out of thin air into his grip—the exact "Summoning" ability of the girl he had imitated during the recruitment test.

He thought to himself: (Since I summoned this sword by “imitation ability” a Peach blessing, it should be fully capable of slaying a Shuuki)

Without turning around to face them, Kojuma commanded, "Let's move and find the location of one of the Anti-Demon Corps headquarters."

The couple stared at him, their eyes wide with astonishment as they looked at the weapon.
The Guy: "He wasn't carrying a sword a second ago, right?"
The Girl (hesitantly): "Shut up... and just follow him."
Kojuma scanned the desolate horizon. "We'll head north." He began walking, and the two followed closely behind, their steps fraught with hesitation.

After walking a considerable distance, a traditional Japanese-style estate emerged in the distance, surrounded by a massive transparent yellow barrier, of protective energy.

The girl’s face lit up with a smug smile. "Ha! We actually made it, all thanks to my brilliant guidance!" She quickened her pace, foolishly rushing ahead of Kojuma.

Suddenly, a violent tremor shook the rocky ground beneath her feet. Kojuma’s eyes narrowed.
Kojuma: "Here it comes."

The ground erupted, and a massive Shuuki monster burst from the earth.
The girl lost her balance, falling backward onto the dirt as the beast roared viciously directly into her face.
The Girl (crying out): "I swear I'll never act arrogant again if someone just saves us right now!"

Before the beast could strike, Kojuma hurled his sword with pinpoint accuracy. The blade pierced straight through the monster's head. The girl's eyes quivered in shock as the sword suddenly vanished from the beast's skull, instantly rematerializing back into Kojuma's hand as he leaped cleanly over the monster.

Kojuma stuck a perfect landing behind the creature. The Shuuki monster's severed head slammed heavily onto the ground, and its massive body immediately began to dissolve into ash.
Kojuma (coldly): "I won't allow you to harm anyone." He looked up, spotting a whole horde of other Shuuki monsters charging frantically toward them.
Kojuma calmly raised his free hand.

—BOOM!

Without warning, the entire horde of Shuuki was slammed violently into the ground by an invisible, crushing weight.
Kojuma: "Peach blessing: 'Attraction'. good thing that's I practiced using this one."

The Shuuki monsters were pinned flat against the earth, the gravitational pressure doubling by the second until their bones began to crack. Kojuma advanced toward them with slow, deliberate steps. He swung his sword in a swift motion, flicking the dark Shuuki blood off the gleaming blade.

Turning his gaze back toward the stunned couple, Kojuma said, "Let's keep moving. And stay close behind me, just in case."
He resumed his walk toward the barrier.

The guy, trying to lighten the heavy atmosphere, offered a wry smile to the girl. "Hey, didn't you just say you'd stop acting arrogant if we were saved?"

The girl glared at him, her face flushing with pure embarrassment and rage. "Shut up!"

[Scene: 10th Unit Headquarters Gates]

After safely crossing through the barrier, they arrived before the grand gates of the compound.
A pair of Anti-Demon Corps guards stood watch, looking at the trio in utter bewilderment.
Guard: "Why did you come here completely unescorted? Where is the squad member who retrieved you from the portal to here?"

The guy looked up at her. "Which member? This guy right here is the one who—" Before he could finish, the girl violently pinched his arm, cutting him off.

She leaned in, whispering frantically into his ear. "Shut up! He'll kill us if we say anything about what we just saw!"

Kojuma looked from the couple to the guard. "No one brought us. We came by ourselves."
Guard (shocked): "What? How? Didn't any Shuuki monsters attack you?"
The Girl (glancing hesitantly at Kojuma): "H-he... he is the one who protected us from the Shuuki."
The guard stared at him, utterly paralyzed by shock. Kojuma cut through her bewilderment before she could ask any further questions. "Anyway, which unit's headquarters is this?"
Guard: "This is the 10th Unit Headquarters... the main command base of the entire Anti-Demon Corps."

Kojuma (crossing his arms): "Good. That means Ren Yamashiro is inside right?"
Just then, drawn by the commotion at the gates, Ginna Bizen stepped out from the main building. "What is all this noise?" Her eyes locked onto Kojuma, and she froze in absolute disbelief. "Red hair...? Are you Tachikuma-san?"

Kojuma gave a brief, firm nod. "Yes. Kojuma Tachikuma."
Ginna: "Come inside, quickly! Commander Ren Yamashiro has been anticipating your arrival for an entire week!"

The guards quickly led the civilian couple away to a safe zone, while Ginna escorted Kojuma through the grand corridors directly toward the Supreme Commander's office.

Ending Panel:

Inside the office of The Anti-Demon corps Supreme Commander, Ren Yamashiro.

Kojuma sat calmly in a chair positioned directly in front of her massive desk. His arms were crossed, his expression entirely unbothered, while Ginna had already quietly vacated the room, leaving the two of them entirely alone.

Title: Tailor's Nightmare

[Scene: Anti-Demon Corps — Tailoring Department]

A young tailor sat quietly at his desk.

It was his first week working for the Anti-Demon Corps.

He had expected simple alterations.

Uniform repairs. Replacing buttons. Adjusting sleeves.

Nothing too complicated.

Then—

THUD!

A document landed on his desk.

He looked at it.

Then at the name written at the top.

Client: Ren Yamashiro

His face immediately went pale.

“...The Commander?”

He slowly picked up the document.

Subject: Male Anti-Demon Corps Uniform

His eyes widened.

“Male?”

He read the details.

Age: 25 Height: 178 cm Hair: Red Eyes: Green

The tailor stared at the paper.

“Who is this guy?”

He looked around the room.

Why is the Supreme Commander personally ordering a uniform for some guy?

He began sketching.

A traditional Anti-Demon Corps uniform.

He stopped.

“Too ordinary.”

He tried again.

A longer coat. More refined details. Red accents. Gold buttons.

He paused.

“...Does Commander Ren want this man to stand out?

His imagination immediately went wild.

“Maybe he's her personal bodyguard?”

He shook his head.

“No. A bodyguard wouldn't need a Corps uniform like this.”

He looked at the file again.

“Or maybe...”

His expression slowly became horrified.

“...Is he her boyfriend?”

Silence.

The tailor stared at the wall.

“...No.”

He shook his head violently.

“No, no, no.”

Commander Ren wouldn't have a boyfriend.”

He shuddered.

“If she did, he'd probably be dead within a week.”

He quickly returned to work.

“I'm a tailor.”

“My job is to sew.”

“Not investigate the Commander's personal life.”

[Scene: One Hour Later]

Seventeen sketches covered his desk.

He stared at them in exhaustion.

“Too normal.”

He picked up another.

“Too flashy.”

Another.

“Too traditional.”

Another.

“Why does this one look like a prince's uniform?”

He dropped the paper.

“I don't even know who this guy is!”

He looked at the original profile again.

Red hair.

Green eyes.

He sighed.

“Just make him a good uniform.”

[Later]

The final design was complete.

A dark military-style Anti-Demon Corps uniform.

The main body was black, with sharp red lines running along the edges and seams. Gold buttons decorated the chest, while a black belt with a gold buckle completed the outfit.

A high outside black collar but sharp red from inside , and white gloves gave it a formal military appearance.

Over the uniform was a long dark cloak. From the outside, it appeared almost completely black. Inside, however, the lining was deep red.

The tailor stared at the finished design.

“...Perfect.”

He smiled.

“Official enough for the Corps.”

“Distinctive enough that nobody could mistake him for an ordinary recruit.”

He looked at the profile again.

“Red hair... green eyes... Handsome guy?”

He nodded.

“Yeah.”

“This actually suits him.”

He carefully placed the design into the folder.

Then he stopped. He looked at the document again.

“Why did the Supreme Commander personally order this?”

He shook his head.

“Not my business.”

He walked toward the door.

Then stopped.

His eyes widened.

“...What if he was really her boyfriend?”

He immediately shook his head.

NO. STOP THINKING ABOUT IT.

He hurried away.

Ending Panel: The original document remained on the desk.

Client: Ren Yamashiro Subject: Male Anti-Demon Corps Uniform Age: 25 Height: 178 cm Hair: Red Eyes: Green

Underneath it, the tailor had written:

#“Do not disappoint Commander Ren.”

And underneath that, in much smaller handwriting:

“Also... who the hell am I making this uniform for? By the name of gods.”

Title: The Exam and the Commander's Scheme

[Scene: Enlistment Exam Hall]

Kojuma stood at the entrance, facing a venue teeming with female applicants. They looked in his direction, their expressions dripping with arrogance and sheer condescension.

Another woman stepped forward to monitor the recruits, opening the main gates for them.

As Kojuma made his move to walk past the threshold, the proctor stepped directly into his path.

Proctor: "Excuse me sir.Did you hit your head or something?"

Kojuma utterly ignored her, continuing his stride forward.

With a sharp snap of her fingers, a wooden statue materialized, tightly binding Kojuma in place. She crossed her arms, stepping up to look him dead in the eye.

Proctor:

"Do you dare ignore me? Why are you even trying to enter? This place is an exam venue for girls who want to join the Anti-Demon Corps."

Kojuma merely gripped the wooden statue. In an instant, the wood erupted into fierce flames. Startled, the proctor quickly released Kojuma and dismissed the charred remnants of her statue.

She glared at him, inspecting his clothing.

Proctor:

"How did it burn? Are you hiding a lighter or something?"

Kojuma (staring blankly):

"I don't even smoke."

Kojuma (thought):

(Revealing anything about my Mimic ability will draw too much unwanted attention. Claiming I possess a flame ability should be more than enough)

He raised his palm, causing a vibrant fireball to manifest above it.

Kojuma: "For reasons unknown to me, I possess an ability like this, just so you know. I won't submit to your medical examinations, but I want to enter the corps and help... that's all."

The proctor extended her finger to touch the edge of the flame, instantly recoiling as she got burned.

She thought to herself: 'A boy... with an ability. I’ll receive a massive bonus if I'm the one who proctors him.'

Aloud, she offered a smug smile. "Of course. You may enter." But internally, her thoughts were purely opportunistic: 'More than the bonus, I want to test the absolute limits of his strength.'

Kojuma walked inside, finding the women seated in rows resembling a university lecture hall. He took a seat and crossed his arms. The female applicants stared at him in utter bewilderment.

Girl 1: "What is that guy doing here?"

Girl 2: "Is he insane?"

The proctor cleared her throat, gesturing for silence.

Proctor: "Welcome to the Anti-Demon Corps enlistment exam. As you all know, there are two portions. The first is a written exam to test your knowledge regarding the corps. The second is a practical demonstration to evaluate your Peach blessings."

She turned around, opening a drawer to pull out a stack of papers. "We will begin with the written section. Write your answers directly on the exam sheet."

She distributed the papers. The questions read:

**Who is the current Supreme Commander of the Anti-Demon Corps?

Who is The Eight Thunder Gods?

What will you do if your Chief unit orders you to withdraw or retreat??

Who is Ren Yamashiro?

What happens when an individual consumes more than one Mato peach?**

Kojuma scanned the paper. 'These seem relatively easy. Borrowing Kasumi’s phone to do research was definitely worth it.'

He looked at the first question.

'The Commander... Ren Yamashiro is the current Supreme Commander.'

His eyes drifted to the second question.

'Eight Thunder gods... As i read there is no official report confirms when they first appeared in Mato, but for Earth, But when one of them Appeared in Yokohama And The Anti-Demon corps fought her

the Anti demon corps announcing the presence of this dangerous people in Mato.'

He flipped the page over to the third question. 'Let's see. The corps rules are fixed, follow the your chief commands whatever they was, you're not able to make a discussion or question.'

He moved to the fourth question. 'Ren Yamashiro is the Chief of the 10th Unit, as well as the Supreme Commander of the entire Anti-Demon Corps. According to international reports, the President of the United States met with her personally due to her awe-inspiring strength.'

Finally, his eyes landed on the last question. His mind drifted for a brief moment, a bittersweet memory of Asafi surfacing. 'The effects of eating more than one Mato peach... it results in chronic fatigue, coughing up blood, sudden violent tremors, and eventually, the gradual collapse of the body leading to death.'

He let out a quiet sigh, whispering to himself, 'I will pass this exam. I won't let you down, Asafi.'

Finishing his answers, he stood up, handed the paper to the proctor, and returned to his seat. The proctor glanced at him, then down at his sheet, humming in sheer surprise.

Proctor (to herself): 'I didn't expect anyone to answer that final question accurately. I suppose he has a right to be a little arrogant.'

Once the time was up, the proctor gathered all the papers. Her eyes locked onto Kojuma.

Proctor: "Show me your ability again..." She checked his sheet, reading his name aloud. "...Kojuma Tachikuma-san."

Kojuma looked around at the girls sitting in the hall. (I might benefit from mimicing their abilities with my “Imitate” ability if I stay to watch) he thought.

He looked back at her and said coldly, "I would prefer to go last, if you don't mind."

The proctor raised an eyebrow. "An unusual request... Fine." She turned to the rest of the room. "Show me your abilities!"

A girl stood up confidently, raising her empty hand. She closed her eyes, focusing her mind, and suddenly a boxed lunch manifested in her palm.

Girl 1: "My ability... a Peach blessing called 'Summoning'. It allows me to summon anything I desire, provided I know its exact location."

Proctor: "And how is that useful in slaying Shuuki?" She turned to another applicant. "Next."

Another girl stood up with a grin, clapping her hands together. Instantly, her attire shifted.

Girl 2: "My ability... a Peach blessing called 'Exchange'. It allows me to alter my clothing or the clothing of others with a simple clap."

Proctor (scoffing): "You’d be of more use as a fashion model. Next."

A third girl stood up, hurling her pen directly at the proctor. She raised her hand, and the pen froze dead in the air right before making impact.

Girl 3 (arrogantly): "My ability... a Peach blessing called 'Attraction'. It grants me telekinetic control over objects from a distance. I believe that with enough training, I could control human beings as well." She cast a condescending look toward Kojuma. "Meaning I could lift you right out of your seat, boy."

Proctor (to herself): 'A useful ability, but she's too arrogant for no reason. She'll likely defy chiefs orders, might rejecting the corps rules.'

The evaluations continued.

—until the proctor finally looked back at Kojuma. "You're the last one, as requested. Now, show me your ability again."

Kojuma sighed heavily. "Fine."

He stood up, raising his hand. A fireball materialized over his palm, casting a bright glow across the room. The girls stared at him, their jaws dropping in utter disbelief.

Girl 3

“This is little trick will make you join the corps?

You reallythought of that?”

The proctor smirked. Snapping her fingers, a colossal wooden statue erupted into the center of the hall.

Proctor: "Can you burn this one down as well?"

Kojuma studied the massive statue for a brief moment, then threw the fireball straight at its head. The wood began to burn, the flames gradually consuming the structure from the top down.

Girl 3 stand from her chair:

“This guy, am not going believe this, there most be a trick somewhere.”

The proctor watched the statue burn, then turned her gaze back to Kojuma, a wide smile spreading across her face.

She stood still, addressing the room. "Very well. After reviewing what I’ve witnessed today and checking the camera recordings, the official exam results will be released in few months. We will notify you of the exact date when the time comes."

Kojuma picked up his things. 'I did well enough, I suppose,' he thought.

Kojuma looked back at girls:

“I have to train on those abilities... “He step out of the hall” They seems useful.”

Ren (grumbling in annoyance): "Thanks to Yuuki, thanks to Yuuki... it's always thanks to that puppy. He’s drawing way too much attention from the other Unit Captains. Especially after claiming he holds the consciousness of three Thunder Gods inside him." She exhaled sharply, letting her imagination wander. “He out of my control, also Kyouka, Tenka, and even Mira.”

Am I the only one who thinks Tenka's romantic development was mishandled?

I want to talk about Tenka's romantic development for a moment, because I've been thinking about this for quite a while.

First, I want to make something clear: this isn't a post saying that Yuuki must end up with Tenka, or that another character doesn't deserve development with him. I'm talking specifically about how Tenka's romantic storyline has been handled.

When Tenka was introduced, her feelings toward Yuuki were made extremely obvious. She became interested in him very quickly, and unlike some of the other girls, her attraction wasn't presented as something that took a long time to develop. She was immediately fascinated by him and eventually became very serious about her feelings.

That created a certain expectation.

Tenka felt like she was going to be one of the major romantic characters in Yuuki's story.

And honestly, I think that's where the problem begins.

The story gave Tenka a lot of romantic setup, but I don't think the payoff has matched that setup.

There have been plenty of moments where Tenka's feelings are obvious, but when it comes to actually developing the relationship between her and Yuuki, things often feel strangely stagnant.

This is especially noticeable when compared with other characters.

Some characters have gotten dates, conversations, specific moments with Yuuki, or situations designed to develop their relationship. Meanwhile, Tenka sometimes feels like she is being moved to the side despite having one of the strongest romantic setups in the entire series.

And that's frustrating because Tenka is not a minor character.

She's one of the strongest and most recognizable characters in the series, and her relationship with Yuuki was established extremely early.

Even her first interactions with him made it clear that she wasn't simply interested in him as another member of the Corps. Her feelings were romantic from the beginning.

So when the story gives other characters new romantic moments while Tenka is pushed into other plotlines, I can't help but wonder:

What was the point of building Tenka's feelings this strongly if the story wasn't going to give her a proper romantic progression?

Another thing that bothers me is Yuuki's side of the relationship.

Tenka's feelings are extremely clear.

Yuuki's feelings toward her, however, are much harder to interpret.

And that's not necessarily a bad thing. Yuuki doesn't need to confess his love to every girl immediately.

But after so much development, I think it would be reasonable to expect something from his side.

A meaningful conversation.

A moment where he seriously considers Tenka's feelings.

A date that actually focuses on the two of them.

Or simply a moment where their relationship noticeably changes.

Instead, it sometimes feels like Tenka is running toward Yuuki while Yuuki is standing in the same place.

And this is why I don't think the problem is simply "Tenka didn't get enough fanservice."

That's not what I'm asking for.

I'm talking about character development and narrative payoff.

Tenka has already done plenty for the people around her. She has helped others, participated in major events, and taken her responsibilities seriously.

So I would have loved to see the story give her a proper moment where her personal feelings and her character development finally come together.

Especially because Tenka's personality makes this potentially very interesting.

She's confident, powerful and usually extremely straightforward, but when it comes to her feelings for Yuuki, she can become surprisingly vulnerable and uncertain.

That contrast is one of the things that made her interesting in the first place.

I just wish the story would actually explore it more deeply.

And honestly, this is why I sometimes feel that Tenka has been mishandled rather than simply "not chosen."

Those are two completely different things.

A character can lose a romantic competition and still have an amazing romantic storyline.

But if a character is given a strong romantic setup, repeatedly expresses her feelings, and then doesn't receive meaningful progression for a long time, that's when I start feeling that the writing isn't making the best use of that character.

I also don't think this means the other girls shouldn't get development.

They absolutely should.

The problem isn't that other characters get dates or romantic moments.

The problem is that Tenka sometimes seems to be left behind despite having one of the strongest foundations for that kind of development.

Maybe Takahiro has a plan for her that hasn't paid off yet.

Maybe her romantic storyline will become important later.

And if that happens, I'll happily admit that I was wrong.

But based on how things have progressed so far, I can't help feeling that Tenka's romantic storyline has been one of the biggest missed opportunities in Mato Seihei no Slave series.

So...

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Do you think Tenka's romantic development with Yuuki has been handled well, or do you also think the story built up her feelings only to leave her waiting for a payoff that never really came?

Title: The Meteor and the Imitator

[Scene: Fukui Forest]

Three years passed since the death of the Nun Asafi.

Late at night, in the depths of the Fukui forest near the orphanage, Kojuma was taking a walk. He stared up at the canopy of trees, the words of his mother and the parting advice of Asafi echoing in his mind.

Kojuma:

“I have to protect Kasumi, but only women have the peach blessings abilities.”

Leaping gracefully, Kojuma caught the thick branch of a tree, pulled himself up, and sat down to look at the stars.

Kojuma: "If I ever intend to attach myself to someone again... I must become strong enough to protect them."

Meanwhile, far out in sky, a condensed, solid mass of energy breached the atmosphere like a fallen star.

It plummeted toward Earth at blinding speed, tearing through the air with a deafening roar before impacting the ground.

Kojuma immediately leaped down from the branch. "What was that sound?"

He rushed toward the source of the noise, guided by the rising smoke, until he found a freshly gouged crater hidden among the trees. Peering over the edge, he discovered a bizarre meteor glowing at the center.

Cautiously, Kojuma slid down into the crater. "What is this thing?" He extended his hand, his fingers hovering just above the surface. "It looks like a meteor... but why did it crash here?

Where did it come from?"

Feeling a sudden, sharp sting, Kojuma snapped his hand back. 'I need to be careful.'

He took a step backward, but before he could retreat any further, a translucent, golden aura erupted from the meteor, surging directly toward him.

Kojuma (struggling to move): "What the—?!"

He tried to climb out of the crater, but the mysterious energy continued to pour from the meteor, binding itself to his body. Kojuma glanced back down and noticed the meteor itself was visibly shrinking, dissolving into pure light.

His body began to tremble violently. 'What is this?!'

His knees buckled, and he collapsed onto the dirt, losing consciousness as the last remnants of the meteor energy flowed into him.

Inside an unknown, vast white void, a feminine voice echoed in confusion.

"Huh? Where am I...? A kid?"

Looking around at the endless, blinding white space, she thought, “What is this place? Aren't I supposed to be dead by the tenmitsu arrow?”

Kojuma’s eyes snapped open. He sat up, rubbing his pounding head as he surveyed his surroundings. "Why did I faint?" He clenched his fist. "I feel fine..."

He looked up at the moon high in the sky. "Was it just a dream?"

Turning on his heel, he walked away. Behind him, the crater lay completely empty—the meteor had vanished without a trace.

[Scene: The Orphanage]

Returning to the orphanage, Kojuma took his usual seat at the dining table. Kasumi immediately wrapped her arms around him from behind, pulling back with a triumphant grin.

Kasumi: "I passed my Japanese exam! The Kanji section, specifically!"

Kojuma (patting her head): "Good job."

Leaning his cheek against his hand, Kojuma quietly observed one of the nuns working in the kitchen. With a casual flick of her wrist, she conjured a small fireball over her palm—a manifestation of her Peach Blessings.

Resting his chin in his hand, Kojuma recalled Asafi’s explanation of the Mato peaches: 'Women eat a fruit called the Mato peach, which grants them various blessings and abilities.'

He closed his eyes. “Is it truly for women only?”A quite sigh. “It's just a heat in ball form shows from nowhere just by her order.”

Suddenly, an intense heat flared in his other hand. Kasumi gasped, staring at his palm in absolute terror. "Onii-chan!!! Your hand is on fire!"

Kojuma’s eyes snapped open. He looked down, his eyes widening in sheer shock. The fireball in his hand rapidly expanded, slipping from his control and shooting upward, piercing straight through the ceiling of the orphanage.

Panic ensued. The children evacuated into the courtyard while the nuns scrambled to extinguish the spreading fire.

Standing outside, Kojuma stared intently at his palm. "Is this real...?"

With a thought, another ball of flame materialized over his knuckles. "Why did I just create a fireball?" looking at the nun. “Just like what she did?”

Kojuma closed his fist, and the flame instantly dissolved into nothingness. 'Does this have something to do with the meteor?'

He remembered the golden aura that had forced its way into his body. 'The meteor didn't just vanish... it transferred something into me. But what caused the fire? Or maybe...'

He looked back at the orphanage, where the fire was finally being put out, and remembered how closely he had been watching the nun. 'I can do something like imitate the abilities I see... I think.'

He stared at his hand again. 'Are there any side effects?' He clenched his fist tightly. “I have to keep it a secret.' He glanced over at Kasumi. 'At least until I figure out exactly what happening to me.'

[Scene: The Following Day]

Kojuma ventured deep into the forest once more. "This should be far enough."

He opened his palm. "Come on."

Recalling the exact flow of energy the nun had used, a vibrant fireball erupted over his hand. "There it is. I'm copying her ability and using it, As if it's were my own."

He looked around at the dense trees but hesitated. "I don't want to start a forest fire." Spotting a solitary, dead tree standing in a small clearing, he nodded. "This one shouldn't cause too much damage."

He hurled the fireball. Within a single minute, the entire tree was reduced to ashes.

Kojuma stared at his hand in disbelief. "This is strange. It takes that nun minutes just to light a few pieces of firewood." He looked back at the ashes. "I suppose she restrains herself so she doesn't burn the orphanage down."

He crossed his arms, deep in thought. 'Can I use this power to help others? Or maybe... join that corps that hunts down the Shuuki?'

He looked at up at the sky

The sun reflection on his eyes.

[Scene: Seven Years Later]

The day the results were announced, in front of the names Grades List board

Kojuma was now a high school student, walking calmly through the crowded hallways. A large group of female students had gathered in front of the bulletin board, inspecting the exam rankings. As he approached, the girls looked back at him with palpable irritation and envy.

His name sat firmly at the top of the list: Rank 1.

Girl 1: "Tch. I mean, he's handsome, sure... but how does he dare take the top spot? What an arrogant guy."

Girl 2:

“Handsome? He is old stuff with tomato hair, frog eyes, and creepy blank cold face expression, like a goddamn statue.”

Girl 3 (trying to play it cool): "He's older than everyone else anyway. Besides, he's just a man in the end. He’ll end up with some routine desk job, while we’ll be able to join the Anti-Demon Corps by our Peach blessings."

Kojuma crossed his arms, ignoring their whispers. 'So, I just have to finish university before I can officially apply for the corps.'

Suddenly, Kasumi came running through the crowd, stopping dead in her tracks as she looked from the board to her brother.

Kasumi (beaming): "Oi, Kojuma-niichan! As expected, first place belongs to you!"

She looked at the girls who talked about him:

“Evil girls are jealous from you.”

She clenched her fist:

“And for tomato hair, frog eyes part.”

Kojuma sigh:

“Ignore them, i don't care about this things.”

Kasumi:

"But i care, you're my brother and we have the same appearance features.”

Kojuma glanced down at the rankings for Kasumi's grade level, also changing the topic. "I am older than everyone here, It's just a fact. But your scores aren't bad either."

Kasumi (winking): "That’s only because Onii-chan is the one tutoring me!"

Kojuma: "It is my duty as your older brother."

Kasumi laughed. "Yeah. Even though you don't have to, you still do it." She nudged him, raising her voice so the surrounding girls could hear. "You’re the only guy who still treats women normally." She tapped his chest with a warm, teasing look. "It's a good thing I don't bully you just for being a man."

Kojuma (with a deadpan expression): "I suppose you don't."

Internally, he wondered: 'I should to tell her about the meteor energy?' He looked at her expressive face and immediately dismissed the thought. 'But. She can never keep her mouth closed.'

He sigh:

Maybe later.

He crossed his arms. "Well, it looks like I’ll be moving on to collage, leaving you behind in high school."

Kasumi (proudly): "I’ll catch up to you in no time, so don't worry!"

Kojuma (picking up his bag):"And again, don't you think about joining the Anti-Demon corps, Kasumi. It's too dangerous."

With that, he turned and left the hallway.

[Scene: School Courtyard]

Kojuma walked toward a massive tree growing near the school's perimeter wall. With a quick leap, he reached into the high branches, retrieved two hidden swords, and dropped back down to the ground.

Kojuma: "It's a good thing no one ever thinks to look up in the trees." He stared at the twin blades.

—Flashback

Three Years Ago

Kojuma had left the orphanage for a brief journey back to the abandoned Tachikuma clan village. While exploring the ruins, he had discovered two broken swords. He decided to take them with him, meticulously repairing and sharpening them himself over the years.

—Back in the present

Kojuma walked through the gates of his new university. “Four years until graduation. Then, I can finally take the entrance exam for the Anti-Demon Corps.

Dose they ask about the high grades, orspecific collegec certificate?

He navigated to the dorms and unlocked the door to his assigned room, holding a pamphlet for the corps' recruitment drive. 'The only requirement is a steadfast desire to protect our beautiful country, Japan.

Kojuma step in the hallways

Kojuma, thoughtful:

Does that requirement truly extend to men?

He stepped inside his room, only to freeze.

A girl had just stepped out of the attached bathroom, nothing but a single towel wrapped around her body.

The girl (her face flushing with rage): "What are you doing in my room, you pervert?!"

Kojuma (staring at her with icy, unbothered eyes): "They told me this was my room. It seems you are going to be my roommate."

The girl annoyed: "Look away, at least!"

Kojuma calmly averting his gaze: "Fine."

The girl glared at his back. 'He didn't even flinch or show any embarrassment! Is he mocking me? Me, the college goddess?!'

Kojuma completely ignored her inner turmoil, casually dropping his bag onto the floor.

Ending Panel:

Years passed later.

Graduation from college has been achieved

Kojuma, now 24 years old, walked out of the university gates holding his graduation diploma. He stared down at the certificate. "Finally graduated."

He pulled the old, folded pamphlet from his pocket, his eyes sharpening."Now, all that's left is to apply for the enlistment exam.” He crossed his arms. “I guess i have to study?"

Chapter 3

Note: This stories is just fan fiction, don't bother yourself with it, just enjoy it or ignore it

Title: Fading Peaches

[Scene: The Orphanage]

Inside the orphanage,

the blonde-haired, blue-eyed nun, Nun Asafi, remained standing in front of Kojuma.

She repeated her words, softening her tone even further.

Nun Asafi: "I am Asafi. What about you? What is your name?"

Kojuma glanced toward Kasumi, his voice hesitant and quiet. "K... Kojuma." Then, switching to a cold tone, he pointed to his sister. "And she is Kasumi."

Asafi (smiling gently): "Alright, Kojuma." She extended a spoonful of food toward him. "Are you hungry?"

Kojuma stared at the spoon. For a fleeting second, he saw the reflection of his mother in Asafi.

He quickly looked away. "Fa...ke..."

Asafi placed the spoon back onto the plate.

Taking a tissue, she gently wiped the trace of blood from his cheek. "You can eat by yourself if you prefer."

Kojuma looked at Kasumi. He took the spoon, blew on the hot food, and placed it to his sister's lips. "Kasumi first."

Asafi (with a warm smile): "You can eat. I will feed her."

Kojuma (staring at her blankly): "I’ll feed her."

Asafi picked up another spoon and held it in front of his mouth. "Allow me to feed you, then."

Kojuma looked at the spoon. Memories of his mother flashed through his mind, and his mouth opened involuntarily.

A few minutes later

Asafi looked over Kojuma’s appearance. "Your clothes are dirty. You need to take a bath."

Kojuma (looking away coldly): "I don't want to."

Asafi: "You are stubborn." She took his hand firmly. "But you should know something—I am much more stubborn than you." she smiles gently

But her eyes looked at him for a Moment

For a second his face looked so bright to her (her peach blessings ability)

Asafi coughed forcefully, covering her mouth with her other hand:

“This future, It's so bright.”

Kojuma glared at her with icy eyes,

but she dragged him toward the bathroom regardless.

After the bath, Asafi dressed Kojuma in fresh clothes. Kojuma looked down at his new attire. "T.hank you.”

Asafi: "You're starting to understand." She patted his head. "No need for thanks."

Kojuma immediately walked over to Kasumi, hugged her tightly, and lay down. As Asafi stepped out of the room, Kojuma whispered into his sister's ear, "I will protect you, don't worry." He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Watching from the doorway, Asafi whispered, "I might just be able to get him to open up a little, just like **his future i saw**."

Suddenly, an overwhelming wave of exhaustion hit her. She collapsed to her knees, biting her lip to suppress the agonizing pain.

"I shouldn't have eaten more than one..."

She holding her chest tightly.

[Scene: Four Years Later]

In the bright light of day, Asafi entered the bedroom and began waking up the children. "Wake up, Kojuma."

Kojuma stood up, his expression as cold as ever. He walked over to Kasumi’s bed. "Wake up."

Kasumi (stretching lazily): "Onii-chan... just a few more minutes."

Asafi: "Maybe two minutes."

Kasumi (closing her eyes again): "Sister Asafi is the best."

Kojuma (coldly): "Do whatever you want."

Asafi patted Kojuma on the head. “You have to reduce your cold behavior, Kojuma."

Kojuma (looking away silently): "..."

Asafi: "Just think of me as your friend. I'm not trying to steal your mother's place."

Kojuma: "..."

Asafi: "Come on. Am I really that bad?"

Kojuma (flatly): "No. You're nice."

Asafi (hugging him tightly): "Nice, huh?"

Kojuma: "Relatively. But you can get annoying."

Asafi (smiling): "You're full of contradictions."

Kojuma (turning away): "I am not."

Suddenly, Asafi coughed, splattering a small amount of blood into her hand. Kojuma looked at her with sudden concern. Asafi quickly wiped her hand away. "Oh, it's nothing." She sat down on the edge of the bed. "Would you like to play a game?"

Kojuma: "A game?"

Kasumi (bolting awake): "Yay! Let's play a game!"

Asafi slapped her hand against Kojuma’s in a high-five. "Come on!"

Kojuma (coldly): "You are childish."

Asafi: "And you act more like an adult than I do."

Kasumi (sitting on Asafi's lap): "Does that mean I'm the only normal one here?"

Asafi playfully flicked Kasumi’s forehead. "Yes."

Asafi coughed again. Kojuma frowned. "You should probably stay away from Kasumi if you have a cold."

Asafi (smiling weakly): "If it were a cold, I would be sneezing instead of coughing."

Kojuma stood up. Asafi turned her gaze toward the window, whispering under her breath, “I thought it was just a lie when they said eating more than one Mato peach could kill you.” She coughed once more.

Kasumi (looking worried): "We can play the game later. You look a bit tired."

Asafi (pinching Kasumi's cheek): "Aww, you're so considerate. Alright, I'll accept your tempting offer, on the condition that you get up and eat breakfast."

Kasumi (energetically): "Deal!"

[Scene: Six Months Later]

At the slight morning, in the orphanage.

A different nun entered the children's room to wake them up. Kasumi rubbed her eyes, looking around in confusion. "Where is Sister Asafi? Usually, she's the one who wakes me up."

The nun walked past her, looking downcast. "Asafi is a little tired today." She walked toward Kojuma's bed, but he stood up before she could touch him. "I'm awake."

The forced a smile onto her lips. "Of course." She turned to the rest of the room. "Breakfast is ready."

As the other children dashed toward the kitchen, Kojuma noticed a locked door. He slipped out of the orphanage building and circled around the exterior. 'Where was her room again?' He looked up at the windows. 'There.'

He scaled a nearby tree and carefully walked along a thick branch until he was right outside her window. Looking through the glass, he saw Asafi lying in bed, surrounded by an elderly nun and another woman.

Asafi struggled to sit up. "I'm perfectly fine."

A nun in her thirties gently pushed her back down. "No, you are not."

A mysterious girl wearing glasses and what appeared to be a medical uniform spoke up. "Your physical condition is deteriorating by the day. You should never have consumed more than a single Mato peach."

Asafi: "I didn't know eating more than one would do this to me. I thought I would just become stronger."

Medical Girl: "If it were that simple, everyone would be hoarding and eating them. Your way of thinking was completely naive."

Elderly Nun: "We cannot change the past now." She looked at Asafi. "Are you still in pain?"

Asafi (forcing a smile as she tried to stand): "No, I'm fine."

The nun pushed her down yet again. "Do you honestly think we’re going to fall for that like the children do?"

Asafi (pouting at her failed acting): "It works every time with them."

Medical Girl: "That's because you usually deal with children. Regardless, you will rest for now untill we find situation."

Asafi looked away, avoiding their gaze. "There's no need. I accepted my fate a long time ago. That's why I came to this orphanage. If I can just remain in the memory of one or two people, that's enough."

Outside, Kojuma stood frozen on the tree branch, staring through the glass. 'Why is she confined to her bed? The other nun is looking at her so strangely... and who is that person in the weird clothes?'

He jumped down from the tree. “Shall I ask her?'

He walked through the front doors of the orphanage and stared at the locked door.

Kasumi suddenly ran up to him holding a bowl of soup, lifting a spoonful to his mouth. "Onii-chan, open wide!"

Kojuma looked at her and opened his mouth. Kasumi fed him with a bright smile. "Good job, Kojuma-nee!"

Kojuma patted her head. "Your turn." He took the spoon from her hand and held it up. Kasumi opened her mouth happily. "This is delicious, Kojuma-niichan!"

Just then, Kojuma noticed the nun and the strange medical girl exiting Asafi's room. Checking his surroundings to ensure no one was watching, he stealthily slipped inside.

[Scene: Asafi's room]

As he step through the room door.

Kojuma quietly closed the door behind him. Asafi looked up, a weak smile forming on her face. "You little rascal. Have you come to bully me like usual?"

Kojuma averted his gaze. "Bully you? I'm a ten-year-old, how could I bully you?"

Asafi (laughing softly): "Good point, Mr. Logic." She gestured for him to come closer. "Come here, Kojuma."

Kojuma raised an eyebrow. He walked over and sat on a chair next to the bed.

Asafi: "Kojuma... what do you think of me?"

Kojuma: "You're weirdo."

Asafi reached out to ruffle his hair, but Kojuma leaned his head back, pulling away from her hand. "Alright, just stop that," he said coldly, before adding in a softer, quiet tone, "You are stubborn. Very stubborn. But you're also nice... and patient."

Asafi withdrew her hand. "If I were to leave this orphanage... would I remain in your memory?"

Kojuma raised his left eyebrow in surprise. "Most likely, yes. I don't think anyone else is stubborn enough to stick in my memory like you do." He sighed and nodded in genuine gratitude. "Besides... you're the one who took care of Kasumi until she became who she is today."

Asafi smiled warmly at him. "Kojuma, come closer to me."

Kojuma raised an eyebrow but leaned in. Asafi pulled him into a tight embrace.

Asafi: "You know... there are many secrets in this world. Like the monster that attacked your village, and how humans can kill them."

Kojuma’s eyes widened in sheer shock. Asafi gently stroked his hair.

Asafi: "Let me tell you the reality of this world. Women are at the top. Men are beneath them, just a tools." She looked deeply into his eyes. "But did you know that there are some women who are beneath other women? The greedy and the naive ones."

Kojuma: "I don't understand what you mean."he looked at her, confused about the women class difference.

Asafi: "The monster that came to your village is called a Shuuki monster. It comes from another dimension known as Mato. It most likely escaped through one of the portals." She lifted his head so he was looking directly at her. "And as for how they can be killed... women can eat a fruit called the Mato peach, which grants them various peach blessings. That is for the strong women."

She looked away, unable to hold his gaze. "As for me... I was a little too greedy, and I ate more than one peach. That's why you see me in this state."

She thought to herself: [My ability allows me to see fragments of the future. Like i did to that child girl before few days, she will became strong supreme commander. But Kojuma's future, is something i can't understand. But I only wish I could live long enough to see it.]

She looked back at him, speaking aloud. "I have been tired for years, and the pain gets worse every day." She placed a hand on his cheek. "What do you think of me now? A failure who gave up on her inevitable fate because of her greed for power."

Kojuma stared at her, completely paralyzed by shock. "You're... you're going to die?!"

Asafi (smiling weakly): "Yes."

Kojuma threw his arms around her, burying his face. "Why?!"

Asafi stroked his hair gently as he repeated, "Why?!"

Asafi (coughing): "There is no need for sadness. You must move forward."

Kojuma gripped the fabric of her clothes tightly. "You're an idiot I... I."

Ending Panel:

Asafi looked down at him, her vision beginning to blur. "Can I ask for one last thing?"

Kojuma rested his head heavily on her shoulder. "You can."

Asafi (her voice fading into a whisper): "Call me by my name, Kojuma..."

Kojuma looked up at her, his usual cold demeanor entirely broken. "Asafi, M...other Asafi."

He stared at her. Asafi offered one final, peaceful smile. Slowly, her hand slipped away from his head and fell limp.

Kojuma tightened his grip on her clothes, his knuckles turning white.

Title: Shuuki at the Village

[Scene: Tachikuma Village One Year Later]

Kojuma sits quietly…

Little Kasumi is on his lap.

Kojuma:

“You know…

I wish you could stay baby forever.”

He sighs.

Kojuma:

“Senjiro-sensei’s training is strict… and painful, you really don't want to try it.”

Kasumi reaches toward him, giggling.

Kasumi:

“Oooh! Hehe!”

Kojuma leans back quickly.

Kojuma:

“Nope. You’re not pulling my hair again.”

The door slides open.

Kurumi:

“Kojuma,

you have permission to go hunting with your father.”

Kojuma jumps up instantly.

Kojuma:

Finally!

He gently places Kasumi on the bed.

Kojuma:

“I’ll bring back a huge bear for lunch!”

He kissed her forehead and rushes out.

Outside—

Kaito grabs him by the back of his clothes.

Kaito:

“Calm down, Excited Kojuma.”

He smiles slightly.

Kaito:

“I understand your excitement…

but the most important thing in hunting is patience.”

Kojuma sticks his tongue out, then bites it in embarrassment.

Kojuma nods:

“…Got it DAD.”

[Scene: In The Forest]

As they left the village.

Kojuma:

“I’m going to hunt a huge bear—

a REALLY huge one!”

He spreads his arms wide, imaging the bear size.

Kaito laughs.

Kaito:

“Just make sure you can carry it.”

A sound echoes nearby.

Kojuma freezes.

Kojuma (whispering):

“There it is… my first prey.”

He hides behind a tree , taking a peek towards it.

“There is it Dad.”

Kaito slowly draws his sword.

Kaito (low voice):

“Stay quiet.”

Kaito climbs the tree above.

Kojuma watches in admiration.

Kojuma (whispering):

“Dad is amazing…”

Kaito leaps down—

—STAB!

The blade pierces the bear but didn't a much effect.

Kojuma dazzled:

“Awesome!”

His eyes sparkle.

He runs toward it.

“I will finish it.”

Kaito’s eyes widen, his grip trembled for a moment

Kaito:

“Kojuma—Don't rush!”

The bear suddenly moves—

—SLAM!

Kaito is thrown back against a tree.

Kaito:

“Ghh—!

My arm…!”

Kojuma stares.

Then—

Kojuma:

“Dad!!? ”

He pulls out a dagger.

Kojuma:

“Come here!!”

He stabs the bear’s knee.

The bear turns toward him—

Kaito grits his teeth, jumps onto its back—

—A STAB!

The bear growls.

Kaito hold it tight and kept stabbing him, untill it fall dead on ground.

Kojuma raises both hands.

Kojuma:

Yataa, We did it!”

Kaito breathes heavily.

Kaito:

“Y-Yeah…”

He looks at his arm.

Kaito (inner):

“I broke my arm because I hesitated…

I shouldn’t have brought Kojuma…”

He looks at him.

Kaito:

“Kojuma… you must learn not to rush.”

Kojuma tilts his head.

Kojuma:

“Huh? I don’t get it.”

Kaito sighs softly.

Kaito:

“Try not to rush like your father did…

or you’ll get badly hurt.”

A pause.

Kaito:

“You need to know the right moment to act.”

Kojuma nods.

Kojuma:

“…Got it, Dad.”

Kaito tries to drag the bear with one arm.

Kojuma steps in.

Kojuma:

“I can help.”

He grabs the other side.

Kojuma:

“You’re right Dad…

It’s heavy!”

He grits his teeth.

So heavy.”

Behind them… Inner in the forest

A faint sound.

A glow, distortion—

then, portal opens.

From it emerges— just a one creature

A Shuuki monster.

Five hours later

They return home.

Kurumi looks annoyed.

Kurumi:

“You’re very... very late.”

Kaito sits down, tying his broken arm.

Kaito:

“My arm broke during the hunt.”

Kurumi sits beside him.

Kurumi:

“Do you want help?”

Kaito smiles.

Kaito:

“I can manage. Thanks.”

Kojuma yawns.

Kojuma:

“I want to sleep…”

He collapses next to Kasumi.

Kurumi walks to the kitchen.

Kurumi:

“Alright, alright…

Give me a few minutes—lunch… or maybe dinner at this hour.”

Hour later

BANG! BANG!

The door is struck loudly.

Senjiro (outside):

“Kaito-dono!”

Kaito steps out.

Kaito:

“What is it?”

Senjiro looks serious, more than usual.

Senjiro:

“I don’t know…

We heard something from the forest hours ago.”

A pause.

Senjiro:

“We sent men to check…

They haven’t returned.”

Kaito rests his chin on his hand.

Kaito:

“A group of bears?”

He turns.

Kaito:

“Give me a moment.”

He grabs his sword.

Kurumi peeks from the kitchen.

Kurumi:

“Where are you going with your broken arm?”

Kaito walks out.

Kaito:

“It won’t take too long.”

He step out from the house.

They head toward the forest.

In the forest

Senjiro looks around uneasily.

Senjiro:

“I have a bad feeling…”

Kaito smirks. sarcastically

Kaito:

“Late for your wife?”

Senjiro ignores him.

Senjiro:

“Something unfamiliar…”

Title: THE BORN

We are in the world of Mato Seihei no Slave.

A world of Shuuki monsters…

The Mato dimension…

And the dominance of women, empowered by the Mato fruits—

the “Peach Blessings” granted only to them.

But…

Before all of that--

Fukui Prefecture — Tachikuma Village

Inside a small house, a woman screams in pain during childbirth.

Kurumi:

“Bakaaa, Kaito…!

G-Giving birth… hurts so much…!”

Outside the door, Kaito stands with his arms crossed, completely clueless.

Kaito:

“Does it really hurt that much?”

He glances toward the window.

Kaito:

“Oi, granny! Are you sure she’s just giving birth?!”

The screams suddenly stop.

The door slides open, and an elderly woman steps out.

Old Woman:

“Congratulations, Kaito-dono…

You’re a father now.”

Kaito looks down at what she’s holding.

A baby boy.

Red hair—just like Kurumi.

Green eyes—just like his own.

Old Woman:

“His features are quite unique.”

Kaito smiles brightly.

Kaito:

“Yeah… the first Tachikuma with red hair.”

He pauses.

Kaito:

“And most importantly… my first son.”

He walks inside.

Sits beside Kurumi on the bed.

Kaito:

“Are you okay now, dear?”

Kurumi slowly opens her eyes… looking at him, then at the baby his hair, eyes remains her of something.

Kurumi (softly):

“Kojuma…”

Kaito raises an eyebrow.

Kaito:

“…What?”

She gently strokes the baby’s head.

Kurumi:

“Our son…

Name him Kojuma.”

Kaito blinks.

Kaito:

“Kojuma…?

That’s the name of the clan’s founder…”

Kurumi takes the baby into her arms again.

She smiles warmly. Likes he remains her of something... someone. “Welcome to life…

Tachikuma Kojuma.” she smiles softly as she brush his small hair.

[Scene: Four years later, tachikuma village]

In a small village isolated in the forests of Fukui, it was the Tachikuma clan village, strict and harsh customs and traditions

A young boy runs through the village at full speed.

Kojuma:

“I’m late, I’m late, I’m late!”

He jumps over a passing fruit cart.

He slips on landing—but catches himself with one hand, spins, and keeps running.

He waves back at the cart owner.

kojuma:

“SORRY.”

he try to run faster

Kojuma:

“Sensei is definitely going to kill me…”

He arrives at training—late.

He bows quickly.

Kojuma:

“My apologies for being late!”

**SMACK!**

A wooden sword hits his head.

Senjiro:

“That’s the fifth time this week.”

Kojuma rubs his head.

Kojuma:

“Ouch…”

He looks up.

Kojuma:

“My mother didn’t want me to leave on an empty stomach…”

Senjiro clicks his tongue.

Senjiro:

“Tsk… again.”

He folds his one-arm.

Senjiro:

“You carry the founder’s name…

Your mother is spoiling you.”

Kojuma bows.

Kojuma:

“Sorry…”

Senjiro points toward the waterfall.

Senjiro:

“To training. Now.”

Kojuma jumps onto a rock.

Kojuma:

“Here I go…”

Kojuma (Thinking):

“Focus, focus…

He’ll give me an apple or maybe another fruit if I do well…” He closes his eyes.

Moments pass…

A gentle female voice calls out:

Voice:

“Kojumaa-kun~”

Kojuma opens his eyes in surprise—

—and slips.

He falls into the water.

Kojuma:

“Ouch!”

He looks up.

Kojuma:

“Mama!

I was trying to focus!”

He walks toward her, annoyed.

Kurumi smiles.

Kurumi:

“Oh? Your wet clothes explains how it went.”

Kojuma puffs his cheeks.

Kojuma:

“I was! Hmph!”

She pinches his cheek.

Kurumi:

“Kawaii~”

Kojuma struggles.

Kojuma:

“I’m not cute! Stop that, Mama!”

Senjiro:

“Kojuma.”

Kojuma stiffens.

Kojuma:

“Y-Yes!”

Kurumi waves lightly.

Kurumi:

“Now, now, Senjiro-san…

I brought lunch for Kojuma.”

Senjiro narrows his eyes.He looked up at the sky then looked back at them

Senjiro:

“It’s 10 AM.”

Kurumi sticks out her tongue slightly.

Kurumi:

“Oops.”

Senjiro sighs.

Senjiro:

“How does Kaito-dono deal with you…”

He folds his one-arm.

Senjiro:

“I’ll heat it later.”

He looks at Kojuma.

Senjiro:

“You passed waterfall training.

Now—coal.”

Kojuma groans.

Kojuma:

“Whyyy…

You’re doing this on purpose because I hate it!”

Senjiro lifts his wooden staff.

Senjiro:

“Or… I spar with you.”

Kojuma instantly hides behind Kurumi.

Kojuma:

“…Coal training it is!”

He runs away.

Kurumi laughs.

Kurumi:

“You’re harsh, Senjiro-san.”

Senjiro glances at her.

Senjiro:

“You’re the one spoiling him.”

He looks away slightly.

Senjiro:

“If you live in Tachikuma Village…

Follow Tachikuma rules.”

A pause--

Senjiro (quietly):

“We’re not from where you came from.”

Kurumi smiles… but faintly.

Kurumi:

“Y-Yeah... you're right…

And thank you for accepting me.”

She walks away.

Whispers to herself:

Kurumi (inner):

“It’s okay…

What matters is Kojuma… and Kaito…”

She places a hand on her chest.

Kurumi:

“Even if I wasn’t born here…

What I’ve lived with them makes me one of them, Right?.”

She walks in the village

Other village women waved to her. "Oi, Kurumi!"

Samui: "Went to check on Kojuma again, didn't you?"

Kurumi: "Of course! You should do the same for your sons!"

Kimane: "We won't spoil them like you do."

Nakima (staring at Kurumi’s hair): "Kurumi-dono, what’s the secret recipe for that red hair dye?"

Kurumi (confused): "Dye? No, I was born with this color."

Nakima (winking): "No wonder Kaito-san married you."

Kimane (envious): "You’re so beautiful, I'm a bit jealous."

Samui: "You really are unique, the only red-haired girl in the village."

Kimane: "And Kojuma inherited it from you."

Kurumi (proudly): "And don't forget, he has his father’s sharp eyes."

Nakima: "Kojuma-chan is cute; he’s the perfect mix of you both."

Samui, looking at kurumi's belly: "Do you think you'll have another boy?"

Kurumi: "Why another boy? Kojuma is enough. Also..." she rubbed her stomach, "maybe I want a girl this time."

Nakima (scoffing): "For god's sake, girl?"

Kurumi (wistfully): "I don't know, but I hope so. She would be so cute."

She smiles. But felt something from her belly suddenly.

[Scene: Kojuma’s training]

Kojuma stares at burning coal on the ground.

Kojuma:

“Why do I have to walk on this every time…”

He sighs.

Kojuma:

“I already train patience under the waterfall…”

He closes his eyes… and steps forward.

Kojuma:

“OUCH!!”

He jumps back.

Kojuma:

“That hurts!!”

Senjiro:

“You have to pass it. Try again.”

Kojuma trembles.

Kojuma:

“S-Senjiro-sensei…

When did you get here…?”

Senjiro firm:

“Again.”

Kojuma groans.

Kojuma:

“Fine fine!”

He runs across.

Kojuma:

“Ouch ouch ouch—!!”

He reaches the other side.

Kojuma:

“Finally…!”

Senjiro turns.

Senjiro:

“Now—sparring matches.”

He tossed wooden swords onto the ground.

Kojuma: "I haven't even rested from the coals yet!"

Suddenly, a man emerged from the forest carrying a middle sized bare on his back.

Kojuma: "Dad!"

Kaito (rubbing his head, looking confused): "Oh, I made it to the village. I thought I was lost.", He looked at Kojuma. "Finished the coal walk, I see?"

Kojuma: "It's painful as usual."

Kaito (laughing): "You'll get used to it!"

Senjiro: "Kaito-dono, don't distract the children."

Kaito: "I'm motivating them! Whoever gives the best performance today, I'll take hunting with me tomorrow."

Kojuma’s eyes sparkled. "Hunting!" He grabbed a wooden sword and looked at his friend. "Come on, Kamura!"

Kamura: "Find someone else. You’re way too energetic today."

Senjiro (smiling): "Kojuma. Since you're so excited, face Kaname."

Kojuma: "Kaname? You want me to fight your daughter, Sensei?" He crossed his arms. "A Tachikuma doesn't fight girls."

Senjiro: "Well said. However, you still have to face her."

Kaname (annoyed): "Oi, you idiot! Are you calling me weak?" She raised her sword. "Come at me!"

Kojuma: "I won't lose! I’m going hunting!"

SMACK THE BOTH

Senjiro: "With wooden swords!"

Kaname&Kojuma:

“My apologize Sensei.”

Two minutes later, Kojuma was on the ground, struggling to stand. "Tsk... again!"

Kaname (looking down at him): "You're an idiot. Don't resist an opponent you can't beat."

Kojuma (grinning as he got up): "But I don't give up! I’m going hunting!"

Senjiro (intervening): "That's enough. Lunch break."

[Scene: During the break]

Kojuma bit into his food. "Tsk, why is she's stronger?"

Kamura: "Maybe because she’s eight and you’re four?"

Kojuma: "Age is just a number!"

Kaito walked back into the grounds.

"Oi, Senjiro!"

Senjiro: "Kaito-dono? Why are you back again?"

Kaito: "I've come to take Kojuma."

Senjiro: "You know can't take him now."

Kaito leaned in and whispered something. Senjiro’s expression changed. He looked at Kojuma:

"In that case... fine. You can take him."

Kaito hoisted Kojuma onto his shoulder.

Kojuma: "Sensei never lets me leave early. Is something wrong?"

Kaito (laughing): "You'll see when we get there."

At the house threshold, Kaito pointed to the door.

Kaito: "Go check on your mother."

Kojuma slid down and ran inside. He found his mother on the bed, holding a tiny bundle.

[Scene: Inside the house]

Kojuma walks in… and freezes.

Kurumi is on the bed—holding a baby.

Kojuma:

“Mama… are you tired?”

She smiles softly.

Kurumi:

“A little…

But I have a surprise for you.”

He steps closer, excited.

Kojuma:

“Eh? A surprise? What is it?!”

She lifts the baby slightly.

Kurumi:

“Say hello to your sister…

I named her Kasumi.”

Kojuma’s eyes widen.

Kojuma:

“Waaa…!”

He leans closer.

Kojuma:

“This… is my sister?”

He tilts his head.

Kojuma:

“Kasumi?

That’s a weird name…”

He looks at her stomach.

Kojuma:

“…Why is your stomach smaller?”

Kurumi laughs softly.

Kaito ruffles Kojuma’s hair.

Kaito:

“Because she gave birth, of course it will get smaller.”

Kojuma looks at the baby again.

Kojuma (softly):

“She looks like a tiny Mama…”

Ending Panel:

Kasumi grabs Kojuma’s hair tightly.

Kojuma:

“OI OI—!!

That hurts! Let go!

Kasumi giggles… and pulls again.

Kurumi smiles warmly. “Looks like you two get along already.” She laughed at him.

Try, The Polite way please

When i asked to give an opinion in polite respectful way, but a got downvotes even on this little small requested comment.

It's giving me bad impression about the kind of people who use reddit and Chained Soldier communities.
