Michael Dunahee Disappearance
On March 24, 1991, four-year-old Michael Dunahee disappeared from the playground at Blanshard Elementary School in Victoria, British Columbia.
Michael was at the school with his family while his mother was participating in a women's touch-football game. At approximately 12:30 p.m., Michael went to the playground near the school. Only a few minutes later, his father went to check on him and discovered that Michael was gone.
An extensive search was launched almost immediately, involving police, volunteers and members of the public. Despite an enormous investigation and thousands of tips and reported sightings over the years, Michael has never been found.
The circumstances of his disappearance remain unclear. There has never been a confirmed sighting of Michael after he disappeared, and no one has ever been charged in connection with his disappearance.
The case remains one of Canada's most prominent unsolved missing-child cases, and Michael's disappearance continues to be investigated.
There must be unseen film footage (family films etc) from March 24th 1991 on the day Michael Dunahee disappeared.
Hi, I hope I'm not bothering anyone and I hope this is the right place to suggest/ask something. Has there ever been an effort to get the word out for people in the Victoria area or who lived there during the time of the abduction, to see if anyone has any old family videos from the exact day, and or the days after. I have a feeling that there are more than one person that may incidentally have film footage from the March 24th 1991 date, and that (albeit a hail Mary) there could be a sighting of him on the footage etc. I really think getting a huge effort together to try and gather footage and start watching maybe even try and utilize AI also etc etc. Thank you for your time.
