Eric c conn’s treasure?

Eric c conn’s treasure?

This is a more modern folklore tale. Half serious imo but has been spread around. If you don’t know who Eric c conn is I would google him and there is a very good documentary on Apple about him.

This isn’t about saying he’s a good person or anything like that, but if you have any comments drop em,but the story goes he hid money somewhere ( money he definitely had by scamming social security and people ) people used to say it was buried under the statue, which is now moved. Lots of various theories of where it was hidden, most likely offshore imo… but has anyone heard of this and what’s your take?

Obviously don’t go digging up private property etc and that which is common sense.

The spot where something jumped at our car on us-52 ( Tolsia highway ) West Virginia

Drove past the area where a shadow person / apparition jumped out at the car then stood in the road, first time I’ve recorded the area. Unfortunately there is really no where to park or get out and investigate really.

I did not know a lot of others have witnessed similar things on this road until recently. Uploaded this to TikTok and lots of others shared similar stories in the comments if you would like to read there stories also, or if u have a similar story also please share away.

Some nice Bigfoot prints from Squatchman at a local con today.

We went to a local con as guests today, met some cool people and was asked to be on camera telling some stories. But I thought these were some really nice prints of Bigfoot and one of goatman from Squatchman tv.

What’s your thoughts on Bigfoot? We have actually never searched yet have been invited to a hotspot locally but haven’t made it yet

Photos from our point pleasant and tnt area trip ( Mothman)

We finally visited the tnt area in point pleasant ( Mothman area) was a nice trip. Tried some new equipment out and did some exploring.
Any questions please ask.

Thoughts on what equipment to use for paranormal investigations?

If you do investigations or watch them what equipment do you prefer and what do you not like at all or do not think is reliable?
I know catcalls are kinda controversial we just just used them a few times. One time they went off when nothing was around the other times nothing whatsoever,I’m on the fence about them personally.
We personally don’t like to bog things down with too much equipment, usually phone, emf, maybe temp gun and a few other items.
What do you all think?

Before Mothman '66, There Was the 1934 McDunn "Winged Omen" Does your family remember or heard of the Powellton Train Disaster?

Before Mothman, there was the 1934 McDunn "Winged Omen"—anyone have family from Fayette County who remembers this?
Most people think West Virginia’s history with winged humanoids started in Point Pleasant in 1966, but the coalfields have a much older story.
On December 27, 1934, a brutal boiler explosion tore apart a miner work train at McDunn, near Powellton. The blast launched the locomotive boiler into the air, and it crashed straight down through a wooden passenger coach. 18 miners were killed and dozens more were severely injured.

But it’s the oral history from the Armstrong Creek hollows that makes this really eerie.
For weeks leading up to that morning, several miners claimed they saw a huge, dark silhouette perched silently in the bare winter trees overlooking the tracks. They described it as roughly 6 to 7 feet tall and completely wide. When it sat still, it looked like a man wrapped in a heavy black coat—until it shifted and they realized the "coat" was a massive pair of wings tucked against its body.

Local lore says it was a "death watch" sentinel drawn to the impending tragedy. After the boiler blew, it was never seen again.
Here is the link to the official historical record and newspaper transcripts from the crash:
US Deadly Events 1934 McDunn Disaster Chronicle
Does anyone here have roots in the Powellton, Montgomery, or Fayette County area? Did your grandparents ever pass down stories about the McDunn train explosion, or mention the whispers about what the miners saw on the ridges?

Mallworld dreams Gatlinburg Tn and assorted weirdness

So to start off I don’t know much about the whole mall world thing. I will have a lot of weird dreams. I will usually tell them to my wife if I remember them. She has told me a couple times they seem like mall world. I had been planning on looking it up or watching a video but didn’t get around to it until one popped up in my feed today after I dreamed of it again last night. Anyways had lots of weird dreams last night.. In my dream I’m watching myself sleep, I also have conversations in my dream while in my dream I’m in my bed ,when I wake up wondering which convos happened and what was dreams.
Most of everything didn’t actually happen. This is hard to explain and my apologies if confusing it’s confusing to me also, trying to explain as best as possible. Back to dreaming in my dream I remember a dream I had then I go back into what people call mall world. I’m with a group of people and we get separated inside this huge abandoned mall with lots of levels that keep going and I’m really underground at this point searching for a way out. I remember it kinda looked like a place in Gatlinburg so I google malls there wondering if this is a real place or what then I find the mountain mall it did look very similar to it but a whole lot bigger and more strange ( I’ve only been there once probably 20 years ago)

Then a little while later a get on TikTok scroll through and get my first mall world video. First picture is from the video with the sky painted on the ceiling. Then more of my dream starts coming back to me after seeing this video.. kinda weirded out because it’s pretty much exactly what I dreamed . Then I remembered the end of my dream… while I was searching for a way out of this mall I thought I saw a way out it looked like the sky in the picture then when I tried to get outside I realized I was stuck inside a dome covering this mall up painted like the sky. Could not get out was stuck inside then ended with kinda panning up and seeing the top of the mall then revealing the whole dome covering the mall and that’s all I remember.

Wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this or thoughts on this

What do you think this animal / creature is? Our first video from 16 years ago

We filmed this well caught on a trail cam 16 going on 17 years ago. Was the first type of this type of content we uploaded. We try not to say this is this etc you must agree. That type of thing. During this time we was searching for panthers / mountain lions a lot. We thought that was it at first. Some people years ago said it was that ,some said chupacabra ,others a deer to all sorts who f other things. What do you think maybe is nothing out of the ordinary maybe it is..

Nature always wins. Found this forgotten house tucked away in the mountains

This place is not hard to find if you know where to look, but when spring hits it's not visible at at unless your right next to it. Has any stumbled onto any abandoned places or creepy out of place things while hiking or even while driving, this place I barely noticed one day driving past it. Been up to it twice about 10 years apart, posted a short video here awhile back

Dreaming in the mountains.Anyone else having vivid, connected, or lucid dreams out here?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to see if anyone else here experiences highly lucid, recurring, or interconnected dreams?

Does anyone have similar experiences, or know of any local folklore regarding dreams in these mountains ?

About a week ago I had a set of two dreams that connected,I woke up from the second due to just how heavy and dark it was, stayed up a couple hours then went back to sleep and picked up the same story but felt like it was a year or so later, was mostly set in wv.
I felt like I had probably 10 or so dreams but could only remember 4 of them.

Yeah, yeah, everyone has a podcast now... but they don’t have this. 😀

But we promise we aren't just sitting in a basement reading ( probably outdoors 😀 ) a Wikipedia page into a cheap mic.

MF Paranormal Presents: Paranormal Appalachia Podcast is dropping soon.

We’re skipping the usual junk mostly and digging straight into the actual history, folklore, and cryptids hidden in the oldest mountain range on Earth. The hills have a lot of secrets, and some of them definitely don't want to be found. Going into not just the usual suspects, hopefully we will eventually have guests on also.

Drop a comment with the Appalachian legend or local story that actually creeps you out the most—we might just cover it first.

Green bank / quiet zone wv what do you know? What do you think?

I never really heard much about the area before this group, we had some comments/conversations early on in this group. It’s supposed to be a hot spot for paranormal and strange happenings. Does anyone have any stories, comments, suggestions etc about the area?

Something jumped out in front of my car on Route 52 (WV) and didn’t move

I have explained this story a little in comments before but giving a better breakdown and has anyone experienced a “Roadside Apparition / Phantom Walker” ?

This is one of the strangest things I’ve ever experienced, and I still don’t have an explanation for it. Picture is not actual pic of course but pretty close to what it looked like down to the car I was driving.

I was driving down Route 52 in southern West Virginia, in a stretch where there’s basically nothing around—no houses, no businesses, just road and mountain. It was late, dark, and completely quiet.

Out of nowhere, something jumped into the road from behind the guardrail.

At first I thought it was a person possibly , but something immediately felt off. It was dressed completely in black—looked like a long trench coat or cloak, with a hood. I didn’t see any face.

It didn’t run across the road like you’d expect. It just jumped into my lane suddenly, and stayed there like it wanted to be seen at the last second.

I had to swerve to avoid hitting it.

I didn’t stop. I sped up and got out of there, but I looked back—and it was still standing in the middle of the road

Not moving. Not reacting. Just standing there.

I’ve driven those roads a lot! . I know what it looks like when someone’s walking, hitchhiking, or even messing around.

This wasn’t that.

I’m not saying what it was—but it didn’t feel like a normal person.

Has anyone else seen anything like this on Route 52 or in that area?

u/MFparanormal — 2 months ago

No famous cases, no Mothman, no TV stuff ( That’s a different topic 😀 )

I’m talking about things like:

– a stretch of road people won’t stop on

– something seen regularly but never reported

– a name or thing older folks warn you about

– places where “something happened” but nobody explains it

Drop the state or area if you’re comfortable. Appalachia only.

For me it would be the tan man I’ve spoke on here before, but hardly gets mentioned online.

We finally made it to the tnt area of point pleasant where the Mothman was first sighted. A little glimpse of what’s to come,we recorded a good amount and have some new equipment, new emf,cat balls , new thermal camera etc.

u/MFparanormal — 3 months ago

So I kept seeing comments on Reddit saying the Mothman statue in Point Pleasant, WV has surprisingly thicc butt cheeks.

Had to see it for myself.

Drove out there today, scoped out the statue, and yeah… Reddit was not exaggerating.

More series videos also recorded at point pleasant tnt area.

I’ve been tied up with life the past week or so and haven’t been as active on here.

Figured I’d check back in—anyone experienced or heard about anything strange recently?

Always liked how this sub brings out stuff you don’t usually hear about. Doesn’t have to be anything crazy, even small things.

We have lots planned just a slight delay.

Also always Feel free to share your own stories or even post them if you’ve got something worth digging into.
