TIL another "trick" when having trouble ripping a DVD

So, today I ran into a problem with one of my TV series DVD sets when trying to rip my backup. No matter which drive I tried (I have 3 different ones) it would always end in a catastrophic failure and MakeMkv would shut down. I created a backup (ISO) and tried to rip that, still no go. Then I started researching a bit more and I came across an article that suggested to change the protection from Auto to Cell trim, this is under Preferences > Protection, and wouldn't you know it suddenly it worked and didn't crash again.

So to all of you that had trouble with a particular DVD, try this.

Hope it helps even just one person.

Clear the App cache when closing the App

I have looked here and possibly missed it if it was already here, but I don't seem to see any write up on what I try to archive.

I have Googled a solution but the writeup doesn't match with what I see while trying to follow.

It suggested I need Tasker and AutoInput and have them granted accessibility permissions.

I have installed the latest Tasker and am on Android 16.

Here are the specifics and I hope someone can give me a step by step to archive my goal.

I have a monitoring app for my solar panels.

If I don't clear the cache before I open it, it often provides stale data which doesn't happen if I had cleared the cache after I closed the app.

I want to automate this with Tasker, so that when I close the app Tasker will run and clear the cache and don't have to go in manually.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

To the software team at Enphase. Monitoring fall back after power outage.

I have looked over other posts here and they seem to come to the same conclusion which in my opinion is not satisfying.

Let me explain my problem, the solution that is given and the behavior I would expect.

I have a grid tied system with no batteries, so no backup in case of an outage, which overall is fine as I am on 1:1 net metering.

My problem is with the Gateway, cellular and ethernet connection. This possibly will apply to the WiFi connected system too but I can't comment on that as I never had mine connected to WiFi.

When there is an outage or brief enough flicker to momentarily take the router offline the Gateway will fall back to cellular reporting as designed, however when power is restored and the hardwired connection is up it gets stuck on the cellular connection and doesn't go back to ethernet. The only solution I found is to "hard" reset after disconnecting the cellular modem from the Gateway, waiting for it to reboot, connect back to the ethernet and then plug the cellular modem back in. What if I am not there to perform this or if I am a less technical inclined customer?

For me the expected behavior would be, that after an outage the system would wait a set time, poll to see if internet is available again and switch back automatically.

Hope you can find a way to implement this.

Thank you for looking at this.

How can I remove the overlay in the user app panel view?

I don't seem to find a setting in which I can remove the overlay of "System" and the "+" "-" buttons. Can I not have a clean view of the underlying information?

Anyone ran into the same issue and found a solution?

@Enphase software devs, if this is something coded into the app (I am on Android), could you either let me know how I can get it to go away and only bring it back when I need to change it or fix it if it isn't coded in please.
