Why does everyone use MTP and multicam???

so many militaries now use MTP and multicam! there used to be so much variety in camoflage. AUSCAM, replaced By multicam. DPM- multicam. Woodland, multicam. The list goes on. sorry for ranting, but I miss the variety in camo. Anyone else or just me??
