there has been a lot of bullshit about Matt Hardy '00, the only thing with Matt is he has a slot and render, that is it. nothing more.
this list does not include content like Strauss or Jalen because those are free slots, much like slot 1523 that I'm still stumped on.

I've converted movesets from 2K20 till 2K25 into the 2K26 format and have imported them into the game. You can grab the download for free over at my patreon page and see all the wrestlers movesets who made it in as well. you'll need Meta but I think Tribute should be able to open the same file and get it setup for those users as well.
so how it works is a user has to enable whatever ID they want for whomever off the list and when they do that, the slot obviously becomes playable but also comes with the moveset for that slot brought over from the previous game. the sets are not perfect, they're mostly formatted for 2K26 format with some missing moves as moves do get removed and slots do get added over the years but this is a damn good base for people who wish to make their game a little more "accurate", as accurate as 2Ks generic slop sets get anyway.

one thing to keep in mind: 2K20 movesets are a mess when converting. 2K22 came out just as good as the others, but 20 is a whole different beast of a mess. taunts are in the right positions but not much else is. wouldn't use them unless you wanted a really decent taunt base.

I went through the Hide file with this update and have found the following information, some of this might be cut content, but some might actually happen in the future:
Previously I've posted about people like Jericho was planned, as well as Steve Blackman, Vic Grimes, Brandi Rhodes, Bearer's Ghost, etc.
but those didn't pan out, I also mentioned Orton '15 was planned for example and Bayley '20, Roman "Awakened" and others, those finally were added to the roster file for unlocking today. I mention this because I always get people being like "how do you know?" and when I explain how I know, they doubt me. so yeah, let my previous post show I'm not full of shit lol.

Strauss Zelnick was at one point planned to be a default character in the game. he is currently in the Hide file with a default status. The Hide file has tons of information on future content and current, all that can be see on the Unlock Data tab on my data sheet.
as the title says, Cyndi Lauper, Melina and Sabu were meant to be a battlepass, their info is still in the Hide file tagged as battlepass content. does that mean we'll see an extra battlepass with them? who knows, but I can tell you they were at least planned.
the following people were cut from the Hide file, but are still in another file in the game that has the whole roster, those being:
