I mined a lot of dimonds ores and it took me 6 months
Expansion of the my perimeter to 2000×2000, half a billion blocks were removed, 130’000 diamond ores were mined and in total I spent 900 Hours. The best of the past 6 months in 16 Pictures (see description below)
I play on a vanilla SMP server with a friend. We are currently playing on version 1.21.11, although some of the chunks within the perimeter were generated in version 1.21.1.
The perimeter was mostly completed by me, but a big shout-out goes to Aragorn949, who helped me a lot throughout the project, with gathering the resources, troubleshooting the WE, diamond oew mining and providing a lot of mental support. As he is a redstone engineer I felt confident to complete this big project.
We used the QSWE-V3 World Eater (WE), designed by Attila, DividedByZer0, Shinji, and Sg. This 4× World Eater was extremely reliable and never broke during the entire run, so a big shout-out to them for making it so reliable! I think here is important to mention that this WE always removes two layers per run which makes it much more efficient.
In total, the WE removed 443,440,752 blocks.
Let’s go more into detail about the hours spent and the amounts of diamonds mined.
It took me roughly 870 IRL hours of work or 2400 Minecraft days. Those IRL hours are distributed in:
- Trenches: 250h
- Build WE (+testing & verification): 40h
- Run WE: 70h
- Fix WE (repairs & modifications): 10h
- Mining: 500h
As you read above the most part I spent with mining. In the perimeter a total of 331,839 diamond ores were generated within the perimeter. We were able to mine 131’010 Diamond ores which used the space of 76 shulker boxes.
If you would mine those ores with fortune III it would result in 288’222 Diamonds or 32024 diamond blocks respectively which would have space in 19 shulker boxes.
With those 32024 diamond blocks you could build a 28 layered pyramid
I wanted to put together some of the most interesting and memorable things we encountered during the past six months.

Picture 2: [Modifed picture]. 2,929 Deepslate Coal Ores and 981 Stone Diamond Ores have been mined. For every stone diamond I mined 134 deepslate diamond ores.
Picture 3: My stats after completing the perimeter. Deepslate Diamond Ore is now the fourth most-mined block in this world, which I have been playing on for a long time. A small portion of the diamonds was mined by my friend.

Picture 5: The completed perimeter. I started the expansion at the beginning of March 2026, and it took almost six months to complete. Most of that time was spent mining the diamonds. In total, 18 biomes were removed from this area. They are listed below:

Picture 6: While expanding the perimeter, WE revealed a 25-ore connected diamond vein within the same chunk border.
Picture 7: While running WE, I found a a six-block-tall cactus growing on the ground within the perimeter. What a lucky find.
Picture 8: While expanding the perimeter, my friend found a skeleton and a zombie spawner right next to each other.
Picture 9: In total, I removed 360 mob spawners from the entire perimeter, including the old perimeter. Twice, we found two Notch Apples in the same chest.
Picture 10: [Edited into a single picture.] In total, 11 Trial Chambers were removed or partially removed (see Picture 14) while clearing out the perimeter. I removed 110 Vaults and 81 Trial Spawners from the Trial Chambers. These blocks take 75 seconds to mine, which means it took approximately four hours just to remove them.
Picture 11: A buried large Ruined Portal. Although they aren't particularly rare, I had never found one before. I especially like how this one generated inside a Dripstone Cave, combined with the Mineshaft.
