I'm hoping they either

A: Restart the franchise in present day. Young Michael kills Judith in 2013 then comes back in 2028 to start a fresh Myers timeline

B: Just say screw timelines & storylines. Make each movie going forward its own Halloween story. No connection from one to the next.
