If you have a cat, don't buy reed-making tools with olive wood handles!
My cat was stomping all over my cane! They love olive wood and my mandrel was too attracting for him.

We saw maybe 5 or 6 marmots just chilling around! Very cute!
Location: Olympic National Park, Washington (Olympic Peninsula). It's all black but I don't have any good full body shots of it. Unsure if 4th one is the exact same bird, but it has pretty similar features & size though a greyer color.
I mostly see a lot of birds but I'm in the LA area if anyone has recommendations for there.
Basically, do y'all just find these birds in random wildlife pockets? Your backyard? A random old trail? A hidden local spot? A wildlife reserve? State or national parks? The nearby park?
Thanks for considering :) BTW I had to drive all the way out to Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve to get this shot.
