Sprout!

We got our TAG 24yo (estimated) female from my husband's grandmother 3 weeks ago and we are so obsessed with her! She's so silly and so much fun! We have had to overhaul her diet, but she's trying lots of new things and it's going great. She's been able to enjoy some outside time with us, also!

She's stress pulled her tail feathers and flight feathers out from being neglected for over a year but she's still beautiful! Her vet visit went great and she's healthy. The vet isn't worried about the growth on her nose at this time.

Originally named 'Baby' but we changed her name to Sprout! 🥰

Advice for new owner

My husband's grandma has had a medical issue come up and asked us to take over care for her TAG. She's 26 and grandma raised her from a baby. How do we properly care for her? Do we need to be worried about any kind of depression with the change? About a year ago, she was moved into a back room in the home, so I'm not sure what their connection was like.

I'll get her into a vet when she's officially in our care, but any advice and tips are welcome. She's a friendly girl and I'm very excited to welcome her into our family; however, my knowledge of birds is strictly related to budgies as that is what I had as a kid.
