What’s up with “motivation culture” these days?
Why motivation always fails:
Motivation feels good, because it’s built on emotions, whether you admit or not. And emotions fluctuate. They are unreliable and don’t stand for long.
But discipline: discipline doesn’t give a crap about how you feel, it just “executes”. It’s unfailing (because that’s the definition in itself) and doesn’t fluctuate for anything.
but how do we just “spark” discipline? Really thinking about it, it seems like an impossible question.. but in reality it’s otherwise.
