Salt and flour dough

I am teaching a very small group of children with autism. I was told that I would have clay but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I was thinking of making salt dough so they can make little medallions with some leather string I have.

Does anyone know a good air dry recipe?
Any tips would really be appreciated

1 day adapted projects for HS.

I got a last minute call to teach art for extended school year for HS SPED students. They are of different levels of needs and some are none verbal. I don’t have much experience with this demographic as a second year teacher but I want to learn. The classes are about 45 minutes and I see each group once a week for 6 weeks. The supplies I received for the room

sponge brayers
small styrofoam trays
crayons
pencils
markers
mixed media paper
prang tempera paint in a variety of colors
brushes
oil pastels

Any suggestions for activities /tips for differentiating etc would be appreciated.

Making slime for 23 8th graders

Hello!

I promised the 8th grade class we could make slime since they did so well with their previous project. Couple questions:

-Whats the best recipe?
-Best way to distribute the slime (should I get containers?)
