First past the post: The most common election practice. Who ever gets the most votes regardless of getting a majority wins.
Approval: You give each candidate you approve of, a vote, who ever has the most approval votes wins.
Star: Give each candidate a ranking of 5 stars (most preferred) to 1 star (least preferred).
Top two most preferred candidates move on to part two where each candidate gets 1 point for who ever ranked higher on the list. (If both are marked equally both candidates get zero points from said ballot)
Ranked choice: Rank each name from 1st choice down to sixth choice.
All first choice candidates are tallied up and the last place candidate is removed, the ballots who voted for said removed candidate are redistributed for their second choice, then third and so on until one candidate gets above 50%.
Note:
Luckily for you all the math and work will be on my end.
The name choices are apart of a project I am working on. I appreciate your input.
