Steam Deck OLED Upgraded: 2TB SSD + 1TB MicroSD
Last week I showed off my brand new Steam Deck OLED. This week, the storage upgrades arrived.
I swapped in a 2TB SSD for my Steam library and added a 1TB microSD card dedicated to emulation. Between modern PC games and retro classics, I've got plenty of room for everything I want to play.
I'm officially ready for pure bed/couch gaming.
Finally Pulling the Trigger on a Steam Deck
I've been eyeing a Steam Deck for years and finally decided to pull the trigger at the worst possible time. I kept worrying they'd sell out again even at the new price, so I went ahead and grabbed the 512GB OLED model along with a JSAUX screen protector and a Skull & Co. grip case.
My current plan is to upgrade it with a 2TB NVMe for my Steam library, a 1TB microSD card dedicated to emulation, and Hall Effect thumbsticks. I might even go down the rabbit hole of a custom shell and buttons later on.
I'm honestly pretty excited. There's something really appealing about being able to pick this thing up and play anywhere in the house. Feels like I'm about to rediscover a bunch of games all over again.
Currenlty waiting for all the parts to arrive.
