DEA with MOA

Do any of you have any experience with a DEA license that has an MOA? I sent in my DEA application but I have had felony convictions over 10 years ago that involved a controlled substance so I imagine my application is taking longer because it’s getting reviewed a bit heavier as it should be. I’m really just curious what the process looks like if they don’t right out, accepted or rejected. I put in my DEA application on June 20 and it still says processing.

DEA before job

I’m in NEBRASKA. Full authority state after completing 2000hr of transition to practice. Can I apply for my DEA prior to having a job? I understand most wait for a job cause they will pay but I’m wanting to know if I can apply before I want to have it all in hand before I get a job.

Interview question

During the interviewing and hiring process, when is a good time to reveal your addiction/criminal history. Going into my second interview and meeting rest of med staff. First interview went great. The vibes were vibing. I have I over 10 years of sobriety and my felonies have been set aside in the courts but still show on background checks. Plus it’s something I feel I must be upfront with. Thank you!

I just graduated from FNP and getting ready to go thru the DEA process. I had some felonies 11 years ago for opiate addiction. I’ve had the charges all “set aside” and will do a pardon next year when I become eligible. I’ve obviously changed my life around and am worried about the DEA denying my application. Does anybody have any experience with this either firsthand or know somebody who knows somebody. I’m going on 10 years of sustained sobriety and now speak about addiction at youth conference, church gatherings, and women’s events. I truly feel a pull to addiction medicine but am worried I will never get that DEA approval. Should I hire a lawyer to help me with my application or wait and hire one if I need to appeal?
