Can someone please explain to me why everywhere else on the planet, a "toasted" bagel means a warm, crispy, slightly browned- BUT at Surf Bagel, it means SLIGHTLY WARMED???? I get to my car to eat my toasted with butter & bacon French toast bagel only to find out that it was cold and chunks of unmelted butter. I go back in to ask them to toast it only to be informed that I need to ask for "double toast" ok fine if that’s your protocol, now I know. My re-made bagel comes back out warm, barely browned, with butter ONLY ON THE BOTTOM HALF. I gave up. $8.00 wasted and never to return. I'll continue to support Brew HaHa! (The best IMO for cafe food) and Spread who never gets it wrong. Such a shame because they have great bagel flavor options.
