As many of you know, the new team has officially taken over the helm for Summoning Earth. Carrying forward the story after Zan's departure has been an incredible journey, but we also want to be completely transparent with you all about the reality behind the scenes.

When Zan stepped back, time wasn't the only factor—the sheer amount of unpaid creative effort took a real toll. Fanfiction is purely a labor of love. Platforms like Wattpad don't pay writers anything, and balancing regular updates with chaotic real-life responsibilities gets tough fast. We do this because we love the story and this community, but passion alone doesn't prevent burnout.

Two years after Earth got yanked into a fantasy world, the refugee crisis from a dead empire's collapse is still someone else's problem to solve — 46 million displaced people sitting in camps across the US and EU, and nobody else wants to touch it.

So the new US President picks up the phone. Six calls, six countries, and by the time he's done, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Panama, Brazil, and Argentina have all somehow agreed to take a share — not because anyone asked nicely.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, Russia's realizing the Transfer did something nobody's talked about yet: it cut the country in half. Two Russias, one unclaimed stretch of steppe in between full of beastmen, orcs, and worse — and Moscow's already drawing up plans that sound a lot like the old playbook, just with better tech.

This one's got UN backroom politics, Cold War-style spycraft, a kingdom that's just trying not to get stepped on by anyone and a dragon emperor who's four hundred and fifty years old and way too sure of himself,. Multiple POVs, real stakes, and yeah — it's a long one, so settle in.
