Any insight on Sprenger in port royal for employment?

I’ve heard horror stories and not the best things but this was 3-4 years ago. Anyone have any insight if it’s a halfway decent place currently? Lots of posting for both locations which makes me think it’s still not the best 😬

Almost 4 months post op cyst removal and wound reopened 😭 long post venting

I’m literally at the end of my rope lol. I had my pilonidal cyst removed in March. I was told it was a small one and would be a quick surgery. Surgery went good - my cyst was down the right side of my butt crack about 3 inches. After a month my surgeons PA took out the stitches at the top. Some opened a bit but healed . Then the next week she took out the middle part. This is when they popped open and didn’t heal until the beginning of June. The medical assistant told me low-key she’s never seen anybody have their stitches removed that early so I think the PA definitely fucked up. Bottom and top of the incision healed nicely tho.

The middle had been a bitch to heal but I was over the moon when my surgeon told me in the beginning of June it was fully closed. My surgeon was confused the whole time as to why it didn’t heal quicker. She took a wound culture in the very beginning of June and found a very small amount of bacteria so she gave me some antibiotics, but even then she said it shouldn’t have caused it to not heal necessarily with the small amount of bacteria. She pushed on it and moved it around and said it was new tissue but stable. She said to wait a week before going in a pool and shaving. This was like June 11th. I waited 10 days to be safe to do either.

I went in the pool maybe a total of 3 hours over 3 days. For some reason when I floated on my back in the pool, I would get more tailbone pain/pressure but just assumed it was from being out of shape and having nerve pain still. I was wrong. I’ve been a little bit of a hypochondriac about this whole thing and didn’t want to complain to my family, but after feeling the sensation for two days I finally asked my sibling (who has been doing wound dressing) to look at it. She told me that the top layer of skin in the middle of my scar had a little smaller than an M&M size of skin missing. I completely fell apart mentally. To make things worse it was my last day having health insurance. I am switching from my parents to my own plan and there’s a month of no coverage. Great timing.

I contacted my surgeon and she was on her way out for Fourth of July. Her assistant made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal and to just keep it clean and dry come into the office if it doesn’t heal. I don’t even know what they would do at this point but give me the same wound dressing protocol. I was scared that I was gonna have a flush eating bacteria or something so I went to a local urgent care. They looked at it and said it looked like the scab fell off (of course there was no scab) and they gave me the same antibiotics. I got the month prior to ensure no residing infection or from the pool water.

Right now it looks like it’s trying to heal, (no swelling, little bleeding between dressing change, and itchy) but I’m just going crazy thinking I’m gonna have to deal with this the rest of my life. I’ve read some horror stories about people having it reopen every couple of months and eventually having to have the cleft surgery. I think I just needed to vent my experience and see if this is anybody else else’s story as well and if it got better or worse. These past four months have been really hard and I don’t know how many more months I can take especially now without insurance for the time being😭 to even see my surgeon its about $250 and I don’t wanna go to just be told to keep using the wound dressing until it heals.

Question for elementary educators in the Beaufort-ish area

I’ve heard many things about the schools in the area. Mostly from parents. I’m a newish elementary teacher and I’m looking to work outside of the Beaufort county school district. I’ve been looking at private/charter schools and beyond. What are your thoughts about the schools below?

\*Holy Trinity Christian school
\*Polaris Tech Charter
\*Hardeeville Elementary (jasper county schools in general)
\*St.Peters Catholic School

Any thoughts would be appreciated ✌️
