PIP - How little work should I do?

It’s one of those. I overachieved by 200+ percent last quarter, have more pipeline than anyone else, but the boss is hammering me nitpicky stuff.

I think he’s been trying to annoy me enough that I’ll leave so he can give the territory to another rep.

I’m expecting a PIP coming soon with weird metrics like “responds to texts in 30 mins”.

I’ve never been on a PIP. How LITTLE work should you do while on a PIP? I’ll start looking but do most of you just put a mouse mover on the laptop and disappear (WFH) or do you feign involvement and let them think you’re actually trying to satisfy the PIP requirements?

How would you organize the nose of this trailer?

I basically have to keep everything in the trailer as I don’t have a shop and I keep my trailer off site basically just for parking.

I would like a small tool box with a few drawers but that might take up the entire upper shelf.

I keep basics like fungicide, herbicide, pesticide, oil, measuring cups, a hand spreader, and other misc on the top.

The bottom I would like to reserve for bags of granular and buckets of leftover granular. Maybe a few of the larger 1-2.5gal jugs, and a couple gas cans (I’d be open to a new place for these.)

Does anyone have any good ideas for a tool box with drawers for the wall opposite the side door? (It would be one of the most infrequently used items, but I need it to keep mowing if something happens.)

Also, any good tips of storing the herbicides and etc are appreciated. I do need to keep those in the original containers even though I keep all of the documentation in the truck for safety reasons.

I like the way the back of the trailer is set up so I can get in and out easily with the stuff I use all the time.

I would also like advice on storing the spreader. It’s always in the way and doesn’t fit nicely in the back of my truck. (I’m replacing the mechanism from getting bent by my tonneau cover right now.)

(Yes, I am licensed to use all of those chemicals in my state and county.)

I’m sure we’re not alone in the need for more volunteers. One thing I’ve noticed about our league is that a TON of parents just show up and leave. Their kids leave trash around. The parents leave trash around.

I volunteer most weeks to mow 6 fields and in my mowing I’ll fill up 3 5gal buckets of water bottles, wrappers, etc just mowing the outside of 2 fields. We honestly have a pretty bad trash problem. Teams are supposed to take their trash can to the dumpster every game (they don’t). The board doesn’t really hold the accountable for it either.

I had a few ideas for signs and to get some support.

  1. Hang buckets and trash grabbers at each field with a sign “please help pick up trash. Everyone here is a volunteer, you can be too”

  2. Put signs on the trash cans that say something like “each team is responsible for taking their trash to the dumpster every game”

I don’t want to shame people but reinforce the responsibility of teams and parents, while also equipping them with the tools to help.

I firmly believe that we don’t get enough volunteers because we don’t ask enough. And to be fair, most of our board members are busy mowing, umpiring, running concessions, etc to even be out connecting with parents and making the asks.

What creative ideas have you all implemented?

How would you phrase the signs I suggested?

(I’m paying for these signs and buckets, etc myself btw so it’s not taking away any money from the league.)
