English Literature might be the most subjective GCSE of all time?

As someone who scrapped low 6’s while in set 1 I genuinely had no hope to do well in English Lit. I did some last minute dodgy revision the day or two before the first exam using analysis off tiktok and a bit of chatgpt. I came out of paper 1 questioning what on earth I had even written and at that point I didn’t even think I would be passing. Today I checked the grade boundaries for a 6 and on top of the hopelessness I had, I saw they had risen by 5 marks and I realised it was over for me. When I opened my results today and saw I had gotten 129/160 (an 8 in AQA Lit) I can tell you I have never felt such disbelief in my life. It just shows how you can’t trust anything you do in literature it’s pretty much all up to your examiners taste of writing.
