Some stamps I've inherited
I've been lurking on here for the past few weeks after my mom brought another few stamps to me when they visited (the 1976 bicentennial state stamps). So I'm not looking for any appraisal although there might be a couple in here that are worth more than face value.
What I am looking for is how to continue this hobby. I have some 'loose' stamps that I need to place somewhere. But how do I go about finding more information about these stamps so they mean a bit more. Any direction and advice is appreciated. I guess I'm looking for a good place to start my journey and figure out what I'd like to collect or add to this collection I have inherited.
If anyone is curious these are from my grandfather on my mother's side who was a collector. He served in WW2 and I'm not sure if that is where he got his start or not (in addition to my mom bringing the 1976 stamps she brought some old currency that my grandfather had collected). But later in his life he was a postal carrier and I'm sure that just ignored the passion.
Thanks for your time.
