INTERVIEW REVIEW!!!!!

Here's how it went:

The interview literally got delayed by 20 minutes because the interviewers took so much time just joining and prepping, which was fine because I got enough time to prep. The overall time was exactly 30 minutes, so I believe it stayed on schedule.

There were two women who interviewed me: one was named Pritika, I think? The other I don't remember, but she was fun to talk to.

First interviewer (Pritika):

I introduced myself with a story I remember, showcasing my good 'adjectives' to them, lol. The first woman was kinda strict-lookin and strict-soundin, so I kept my resolve formal. And I was COMPLETELY HONEST: I gave points to every single flaw that was there in my works and portfolio, all the missed opportunities and stuff, so that I don't give off a fake image of "perfect". She asked me about my portfolio projects, especially about a PayTM redesign I did, and my packaging design. I told them everything, about the process, the logos, all of it. She asked me "Why BITS?", "What specialisation are you willing to take, and why?", "Where do you see yourself after 4-5 years?", and thingies.

To be honest, the first interviewer was making me hella nervous, but I just kept confidently winging it, since it's my one shot. I can't come out as a wuss! I answered every question in detail.

Second interviewer (idk her name):

This was where I genuinely started having fun. The second interviewer was so interested in my works and projects given in the portfolio, asking about my comic pages, doodles, and typography. She asked me about how I came up with the pages of doodles I made, who were my main inspirations, how I came up with characters, and what my comics and things were based on. She genuinely seemed invested in my creative works, which gave me a boost of confidence and a gentle ease. She had asked about AI as well, about how it can be used in the world and in the future, and what my opinions were on it.

I can confidently say I was very good in the second half. 🙏

Overall, I feel that I did decent. Maybe I will get into BITS, who knows?
