In the last few days, people reported an increase in activity in the palace of the 1st and 3rd Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with many Officers from the Grand Armèe and the Marine Imperiale having frequent meetings with Government Officials behind closed doors.

Now, many of you readers will say that this is normal in times of war, and this journalist would normally agree. Although it has become suspicious when it was discovered that many of those Officers and Government Officials were all part of the same broader political group, of which we still won’t disclose the name due to lack of evidence against the suspects, and many other members of the National High Command are not aware of many of those meetings.

This leaves this journalist with one question in mind… What is the purpose of these meetings? Are they discussing an increase in the ongoing Martial Law in the outermost provinces to keep them more in line? Or worse, are they planning a plot against our Emperor? This journalist can only wonder.

NEW STEEL MILL OPENED IN DURO IN THE PRESENCE OF THE GOVERNOR OF GRANDE BOURGOGNE

On April 27, Duro’s expanded Industrial Area was the scene of great jubilee for the opening of the newest Steel Mill, financed by the Parpaldian Ministry of Industry

The ceremony of the activation of the mill and the forging of its first Steel was personally conducted by the Director of the Statal Steel Mills in Duro, Jacques Burò, in a ceremonial fanfare designed to show the greatness of the Parpaldian Empire to the world. 

The governor of Grande Bourgogne province attended alongside the Mayor of Duro and representative from the ministry of industry and there’s also rumor that the Emperor’s 3rd Cousin, Count Regulus La Montblanc, major financer of the Imperial Steel Mills and primary figure among the ranks of the Imperial Coalition, was also supposed to be at the ceremony, but could not attend due to unforeseen matters he had to deal with.

This new Mill could represent the resilience of the Empire in the face of the humiliation that happened less than three hours later in the Ornal Sea in the eyes of the public. Will this image last, or will it crumble with time? Only time will tell.

BLOCKADING THE ORNAL! MoD ANNOUNCES CONSTRICTOR PLAN AGAINST PARPALDIA

The Ministry of Defense has recently announced their Constrictor Plan to the wider public today in an effort to starve and detain Parpaldian aggression in the Ornal Sea and Altaran Strait.

Prime Minister Leopoldo Garibaldi said during his speech to the Parliament yesterday that:

“Additional reinforcement has been earmarked for the Sios and Ornal Theater. I have been empowered by the War Cabinet to release these details to you today and while I cannot confirm whether or not the 4th Battlecruiser Division and the 7th Battleship Division, along with the 21st Heavy Cruiser Division have been reassigned there, I can say that we have drafted a comprehensive plan that is now undergoing implementation to bring civility and manners to these Parpaldian brigands”

While unconfirmed, there are reports that the Western Theater has reached a point where forces could be diverted to the East in support of the Sios and Ornal operations.

The Office of the Chief of Staff of the Regia Aeronautica has declined to comment on the recent announcement but a spokesperson has confirmed their commitment to fulfilling the national mandate and duty to Altaras as promulgated by both military and civilian leaders.

The Regia Marina has also refused to comment on the matter citing operational security. The Naval Chief of Staff has reportedly been in ‘significant high level discussions’ at 24 Wren Avenue alongside his contemporaries.

For the past few months, it has been noted that no significant announcements relating to the Ornal has been released by the Regia Marina or the MoD. The majority of releases thus far has been more focused on the Western Theater and their supporting role in Regio Escercito operations in Parpaldia against the Grande Armée.
