I work in a youth-serving facility and we have a Minecraft server on an old Mac Studio running Craft Controller and a few plugins. I am not very experienced with Minecraft.

We share Minecraft accounts on the computers we have at our facility. This is causing an issue because the kids become attached to an account and the stuff that's on it, but then another kid will play on that account and waste the material or die and lose it all.

Are there any solutions for this type of problem? I am imagining something where after signing on to the server the player has to log in again to get their gear, but I haven't been able to find a mod that serves that purpose.

Does anyone have experience with this and has anyone found a solution that works for sharing Minecraft accounts but not sharing the gear on them?

I bought a renewed Seagate Exos drive (ST28000NM001C 28TB) which I have been trying to get Unraid to recognize for around a week now.

I didn't know about the 3.3 volt pin feature bigger drives have until getting this one, so I assumed that was the problem. I can currently feel the drive vibrating when the Unraid server is turned on but it is not showing up in the Unraid interface (not in Unassigned Devices) or by using any terminal commands. I am wondering if I got mailed a faultry drive.

• I am using an LSI HBA card which has another working drive plugged into it.
• I put Kapton tape over the first 3 pins of the drive.
• I swapped cables from another drive that is showing up in Unraid.
• I am currently using a Molex to SATA adapter on the drive.

I am not sure what else to do. Do I assume the drive is dead and send it back?
