Grade drop/return offer

Summer winding down, terrified I’ll be losing my return offer because GPA went from 3.29 to 3.19, but I got almost all Bs during 2L.

I’ve gotten excellent reviews this summer but have convinced myself they will think I’m too stupid to bring back.

Will good work product, enthusiasm, and networking throughout the summer override this?

Firm never asked for updates grades

Is it weird that my firm, V50 range, never asked for updated transcripts after handing out summer offers?

They asked for about 30 other forms for onboarding but never bothered with this.

Can I expect them to do this at the end of 3L or do some firms really just not bother so long as you are set to graduate?

Are firms in the V20 range more concerned with 2L and 3L grades than lower-ranked firms?

Grade drop issue?

I’m summering in NYC right now, firm had no language about maintaining comparable performance in the offer.

I’ve gotten excellent reviews so far based on work product and networking.

They hired me with a 3.29 and my cumulative post-2L is 3.196. School sends about 90%, and they hired me below median.

Is there any reason to worry about this?

Nervous incoming Summer: How good does work product need to be?

I’m about median at a lower T-14, not the absolute smartest cat around but know I can handle complicated work. Going into transactional (mostly finance). How good does my work product need to be as a Summer Associate to get a return offer? What do those of you in transactional look for in SAs?
