Hazy Autumn landscape

Hazy Autumn landscape

Hey all! I painted this little fall landscape this afternoon after watching an Oliver Pyle video and tried to practice some of his landscape techniques. I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out and feel like some things clicked a bit with timing and paint consistency. Let me know what you think!

Painted a little landscape this morning sitting outside

Hey all! Tons of amazing work here, truly inspiring!! I’m still very much a beginner but I wanted to share this small landscape I painted while sitting outside this morning! Not plein air per se since I painted this scene from imagination, but still so pleasing to sit outside and enjoy the lovely morning weather. I am truly falling in love with this medium.

Paper: Meeden 100% Cotton Cold Pressed
Paints: mixture of mostly Cotman and a few Daniel Smith (Undersea Green, Raw Sienna, Payne’s Gray)
Brushes: Princeton Heritage #16, #6, and #2

I would love any constructive feedback from this wonderfully talented community!

First landscape painting I’m pleased with

Hey all! I’ve been slowly learning watercolor over the last couple months and this is the first landscape I’m fairly pleased with. I would love any constructive feedback on this attempt!

A few things I’ve noticed that I’d like to improve:
*The hill/mountain in the far background has a weird light band in the middle which breaks up the color and loses the misty effect.
*Foreground is darker toward the horizon and gets lighter before a somewhat abrupt transition into the foreground
*More variation and bits of texture in the middle ground
*Maybe more darker values in foreground with more texture
*More lighter values in the foreground tree to create more contrast and show the sunlight
*Better/more shadows and darks to create more depth

Anyway, thanks for looking at my painting!

Hotel Adriano

Hi all! I’ve been learning to draw in the last few months and just recently found this community. A lot of amazing and inspiring work in here!! I made this drawing of Hotel Adriano from Porco Rosso for my brother’s birthday

005 Pigma Micron on some 300gsm cellulose paper

I have a LOT to learn but am really enjoying the process so far and am pretty proud of this one!
