Insurance to cover travel booking mistakes?
Hi folks. I’m just one of those people that makes mistakes when booking, like booking a departure date a whole week early (but in this case, getting the return flight correct). Needless to say, it ends up costing me a fortune to change because, surprise surprise, the fare code I originally booked under is no longer available on the correct date and the only seats left are quadruple the price.
So this is what I’ve done and I am coming to accept that I will just have to eat the change fee and increased fare type, but it did get me wondering if I could insure against this sort of thing.
I know there is ‘cancel for any reason’ insurance but it seems like that has its own set of limitations, so would love to get some thoughts!
TIA
