Got my MRI results today. Podiatrist is opting for conservative treatment with 6 weeks immobilization in a boot and strict non weight bearing. Did you go with this route? Did you need surgery anyways? I have 4 young kids and i feel like I ruined their summer. Idk how I’m going to get through these next 6 weeks. My husband works full time… my parents aren’t really an option, his parents very much have their own life and all I have are my girlfriends who also have their own lives. Thankfully they have carried my thus far (2 weeks)… I’m just feeling hopeless. 😞
And I really want a pedicure and the dirty toe bruises to go away 🙄

I’m scared

I’ve been banking on the idea that I’m being dramatic and I have a little sprain. Fell on a sandy slope holding my 30lb 2 year old. Sounded like I stepped on a rice krispy treat over a bed of twigs. Couldn’t walk, ugly bruising and my foot looked like it swallowed a loaf of bread. I have pain in my arch, top of foot, near my big toe and outer ankle area. I also feel like I’m having a hard time moving my three middle toes like normal…I work on my feet, like 12k steps a shift on average, and have 4 kids… please tell me you can heal quickly without surgery. I hobble on the side of my foot a little but mostly use a scooter or Crutches. The ER tried to send me back to work in a week because my x rays were negative so I went to urgent care and a random pcp and I fought for an MRI and referral to podiatry. By next Thursday I should know a lot more but the waiting is killing me. What do we think…. Is this a club I’ll be joining?
