What’s the biggest financial headache you face as an Indian exporter?

I’ve been speaking with a lot of Indian exporters recently, and I’ve noticed that the biggest problems often start after the order is won.

Things like:

  • How should I structure payment terms — LC, CAD, advance?
  • Is my overseas buyer actually creditworthy?
  • Can I get financing against this export invoice?
  • What happens if the buyer pays after 90 days?
  • Am I getting a good FX rate?
  • How do I manage USD receivables?

A lot of this still seems to happen through bank RMs + emails + Excel + WhatsApp + consultants.
