Another Grail acquired
It's taken a while to track this one down, but so happy I have. There's also a version with a red translucent Time Traveller to find now.

Never have been able to find a Takara 3.75" Robotman at a price I'm prepared to pay so......Super 7 doing the Lawd's work for us cheapskates 😁
When you're a kid those stickers just go anywhere....
That must be one heck of a "track fault" at Walthamstow. Not looking forward to the journey home this evening.
Having seen there will be a Badrock I've bowed to the inevitable and gotten Shaft while I can. He's actually better made than Diehard, but the one let down is the face - no Photoreal or injet-printing here, just 2012 standard regular painting. It's ok, but really noticeable even when placed with X-Men 97 Cable as less detailed.
Still and all, a core Youngblood Home Team will be a nice to have.
*Considerably more than a penny......
Took a while, but finally waited someone out.
His art got worse over time, the Comics were mostly bad to awful, and the whole thing was so 90's EXTREME that they were a parody within their own publication history.....but Jeebus help me I loved (some) of the poorly proportioned, over-pouched designs.
Even with more than three decades of hindsight I still wanted a Diehard figure. So I paid through the nose for Loose Collector to finally tick that box.
Now, I may be the only idiot to pay full-price for this - so marvel at my idiocy at my expense.
It's reasonably well made. Bulky, heavy, joints are a bit spongey despite being pinless, articulation is quite smooth And only really hindered at the shoulders (has butterflies the way MacFarlane does them) by the pauldron cables. Otherwise it's Marvel Legends-type standard issue.
Sculpt is a little soft in places but perfectly serviceable and the pouch-count is within tolerable limits. Paint-job is nicely pearlescent but the blue line work on the legs should be a bit crisper on a figure of this price.
In short: Not bad at all, but for the price anyone waiting for discounting before considering a purchase is probably way more sensible than I am.
Lawd help me I may get Shaft.........I will draw the line at Blood-dude/Nobo though.
Where once I had an army of Nu Acroyear - this guy is the last of his kind. The sole intact example that hasn't crumbled into a sorry pile of bits.
"A thing isn't beautiful because it lasts....." but it does help you appreciate it if it does.
She was worth the wait and the expense.
Picked this one up a while back and it has no Takara stamp (just a made in Japan stamp on the lower back as usual) and no Pharaoh imprint on the midriff panel, or Time Chamber. It's construction is just as good as Takara reissue product so it doesn't feel like a bootleg. Anyone got any background on something like this?
49 years after my Mum bought me Blue and Red I finally have a new full team. I've just spent the last hour staring at them, totally overwhelmed.
They still look great - chrome and joints nice and shiny, but the waist and limbs are floppier than my 1977 originals.
Forgotten just how chunky the 'Buster is. He's going to need his own shelf.
Yellow actually seems to suit this figure more than the blue type......no idea why and it might be just me.
Onwards to Orange next!
But this may be my favourite McFarlane figure. Worth the ballsache it took to track him down.
There's a lot that can be said about Super 7 product in general, but their Microtron is spectacular.
There have been a few over the years, but this one hits the spot for me.
The inverse of M163 - I actually like this scheme better.
48/49 years of age and still looking this good.
