Still can't tell what the difference is between studies and projects.

I remember they explained, but only diffrence to me is you maybe get one project a month. An they don't pay well.

Been weeks since my stone/stent. Got a abnormal "Klebsiella pneumoniae" result. Now what?

Value
10,000 -<50,000 CFU/ml Klebsiella pneumoniae
Abnormal

I don't know what this is for or what it means. Been 3ish weeks since my stone was removed, and my stent. Stopped my meds like two days after as I felt fine (just flomax and some other bladder spasm pill). Had a urine test two days ago. But have no idea what this is. Is this good? Bad? My doctor didn't really say anything about it. I'm a male if that matters.

Why does this game crash so much (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED)? It's also a blast now that I am playing it more!

First thing, I made a post saying the game was not fun. Its now been a week almost and now I am REALLY enjoying it! So much to do. I don't really mess with the battle styles at all, don't think it matter to much on Dawn difficulty. But I like all you can do in general.

Now, is this game common for crashing? It's crashed about 7 times since I installed it last week with the "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED". I just restarted the game no issue, except for the one time it left my system sluggish.

I ran a OCCT vram, gpu, cpu....etc tests and had no issues. I even removed my GPU drivers and freshly installed some and restarted the PC. Not sure what it could be. I have a 5"RTX 5070 12G SHADOW 3X OC 12GB".

I will say, I was playing Ghost of Tsushima for a month and it crashed only once, same error. And looking at the logs, its only done it for these two games. When I got the card in Sept last year, I played Borderlands 4 mostly maxed out in 2K. Never crashed.

Again, not sure if its this game as I've never seen so many crashes before. I did see other have issues but no one seems to know what causes them.

Stop Hiding Attention Checks in the Stuff Nobody Reads!

So this doesn't happen a ton, obviously. I’ve been at this for over a year now. But twice I’ve run into these things I call “wrong attention checks”.

First one was on that second page, you know, the one where they ask for your gender, age, race, all that stuff. At the very bottom it had two buttons: “Proceed” and “Don’t proceed.” So I hit “Proceed,” click next, and bam, kicked out. Didn’t pass. I messaged them (it was only a buck, but still) and asked what I even did. They said the instruction was something like “Do you wish to proceed? Click ‘Don’t proceed’ to proceed.” Like... come on.

Then today. First page? That huge confidentiality thing. You know, the wall of text nobody actually reads (at least not after seeing it thousands of times). I click “I agree” like always, and nope. Screened out. Apparently buried somewhere in all that legal stuff was a line that said “If you’re paying attention, click ‘Do not agree.’”

Look, I get it. Attention checks exist for a reason. They filter out people who are just clicking through without reading. Fine. But these? These are just sneaky for no good reason. Who actually reads the confidentiality agreement anymore? I’ve seen that thing a thousand times. And sticking a trick question at the bottom of a demographics page? Also pointless. Nobody’s really reading that part either, we’re all just filling in the blanks on autopilot.

Attention checks inside the actual survey? Totally cool. Like when you're 50 questions deep and one random one says “select agree” in the middle of a bunch of agree/disagree stuff. That makes sense. But getting penalized for checks literally on page one or two? That’s just annoying. They should know nobody’s reading that stuff that early.

Again, both surveys were cheap. One was a dollar, the other was 25 cents. So it's not the money. It’s the principle.

How long does it take for someone to be approved to join the Prolific?

So back when I signed up, it only took a few months. My wife signed up in Dec 2024. Still hasn't gotten an email approving her yet.

Is it time for Reddit to lighten up since it seems to be failing?

So I saw this article saying Reddits basically destroying itself and the quality of its content because it's always removing people (who can never create a new account), but then because of the age we are in, there are endless AI bot accounts. And they're using AI to moderate on top of that, which just makes the whole mess worse. Granted they still raking in cash, apparently.

Don't they have to chill out a little? Like, save the hammer for actual garbage? Impersonation, illegal stuff, death threats. Not for someone having a take a mod doesn't like, or because some have a power trip issue.

Because what happens when most active accounts are just bots pretending to be people? Then what's even the point? The community rots. Normally I would not talk about this because it's nothing new, however with AI stuff, if Reddit doesn't come up with changes, it's just going to be a bot site. Which technically, if it makes it money, I guess that is all that matters really.

-edit-
Better yet, get rid of the Karma system. That really throws wrench in things.

Anyway to make the game more fun/realistic?

So I recently played Ghost of Tshumia on PC. Blew my mind. Gave me hope for this generation of Samrurai/Ninja games. To note, note into Dark Soul type stuff. A few people told me if I liked GoT, I would enjoy RotR. And don't get me wrong, now that I am in the open world finally, it can be fun.

But the game feels more like an arcade kinda Dynasty Warriors with its combat. I was hoping for more realistic/deadly combat. Not "Hit the enemy 20 times before they die!". I hate bullet sponge type games. Admiteddly though at least I can assassinate people from behind, and the rifle for example, one shots people in the head, up close.

But the gameplay for the combat I don't really like. Any mods or way to change it? Even if it just lowered enemy health so they weren't sponges?

Another issue is the game seems complicated. There are so many buttons and things to remember. Even more so when attacking. It's kind of confusing and overwhelming. I'm sure in time I will learn it better of course. I'll also say I realize this is a Japanese-made game. And Team Ninja and Koei are known for their arcade like combat. I do enjoy Dynasty Warriors for example, but I was still hoping for more like GoT.

BTW I don't think the game is bad or anything, like I said, I am enjoying it. Just combat throws me off the most, maybe its because I am fresh from GoT. Someone also told me Assassins Creed Shadow is good, but I hated AC by the second game and it was the same boring formula. NOt sure if the games ever developed and made better changes overtime or not.

Anyone feel like you sometimes have to "lie" in AI video surveys?

Hear me out, I am not saying to lie mind you. I do realize there are checks with some, but lets say you have to say which video has less defects and both videos suck EVERY time. To the point you can't tell which is better. If you choose the left video every time (because you feel they happen to the better ones every time), lets say except once, you will get a message that it was inconsistent because you (essentially) only chose the left videos.

So you are sort of forced to choose right one sometimes. Or vica versa. In short you sometimes have to go back and forth or the surveys get flagged. Had it happen three times, thankfully I didn't get any rejection. One time I kept choosing "equally" because both videos were bad every time. Got in trouble.

I feel the rules are very much complicated and leave wiggle room for issues that may arise. Like the AI videos that say "Which video using the prompt below would you prefer to watch!" But there is no video and its audio only for some reason. Or the ones that tell you the same thing, but there are no prompts. DO you choose what you think looks better? What you like more? Because sometimes those get you in trouble, as if there is some secret right answer you missed.

To be fair maybe alot of this comes down to quality checks and somehow you just don't know what the check was. Like sometimes the checks are obvious, such as one video is perfectly crisp, no issues, and the other is literally a blurred mess of lines. Other times you can't tell. I wish the rule system for AI videos was explained better. To bad we can't figure out who puts out the surveys, I see VEO 3 alot, but not sure if its actually for VEO or not.

Sure, I'll download software and use my credit card info for $12! >.>

Don't get me wrong, maybe its legit. But I never do surveys that ask me to book/buy/pretend to buy anything. Unless they VERY high paying, even though I am usually avoiding them.

Did anyone find Best and Last... unneeded?

So don't get me wrong, I was sentimental near the end between Johnny sad its over, others talking about missing Dunn...etc. And the excerpt reel was very nice. As was the amazing intro with the moving room.

But the movie felt like it wasn't needed. Half the stunts were cast favs which we have all seen online everywhere. And the few new stunts mainly were just about dicks, butts and poop. I mean its fine in reality, but its what most of the stunts were. Nothing really creative. Aside from the escape room, which I can't tell if Erhen was pretending he was knocked out from the shock, or if they really went too far and he passed out.

And the three cast members returning didn't do anything. Or the stunts didn't make it to the final cut.

Again, NOT saying the movie was awful. But I kinda wanted a refund on renting it. Felt unnecessary. Like they didn't have any ideas for new stunts. Or perhaps its they are just to old and could seriously get hurt at this point?

-side note-
I realize the sub wants negativity kept very low. But I think some respectful discussion is ok right? It's not like I am saying I hate the movie or anything. Just not what I thought it would be.

Been using Prolific one year and made a good chunk of money!

Helps having VR headset, doing those interview with actual humans for an hour and of course AI surveys. To add I am not working and disabled, so this is my side hustle to help out my wife and new baby! Certainly better than when I was going Youtube videos.

Confusion about what to eat/not to eat to avoid more stones.... tea? cheese? Meat?

So I have oxalate stones, the most common. Or at least its what they seem most made out of, never got an official statement on what they are, or maybe I forgot. Anyways had stones for 25 years. My doctor used to tell me no pop, no dairy...etc. But over time I would hear other things online.

My new doc says no pop, its the worst contributor. However I do drink Arizona Raspberry Tea, which online says tea has oxalate. So should I avoid it also? My doctor also said avoid alot of salt. however to have at least 1000mg of dairy every day with alot of water to bind and pee out oxalate. Also he says to avoid a ton of meat.

Is this accurate?

Since I am 44 and only have one kidney left, I am taking stones more seriously now. No more pop at all. I used to drink up to 2-4 cans of Pibb or Code Red a day. I just don't want anymore stones. The last stent and removal...etc was awful. The worst yet. I'm tired of dealing with stones, granted I realize I did this to myself prior. Had 9 stones before. My dad has had 30+ stones and doesn't even touch pop.

My string stent was pulled out. PURE HELL! >.<

I tried pulling it myself as the doctor said and some on here, told usually there is no pain. Well I almost threw up and fainted just on touching the string and a gentle tug. So went to my appointment a few hours later and had them do it.

Holy @#$% did it hurt. It felt like the ripped my urethra out. It was a 10 out of 10 burning. I felt the pressure of course, but mainly pain. They let me sit there for a few minutes until the pain was maybe a 7 out of 10. I went home and, ironically, peed and had zero pain. Also had no bladder or kidney spasms. SO that end of it is good.

But there is no way in heck I want a stent again with a string. It was to much agony to force myself to go through again. I realize a stringless one means worse pain as when I pee after I wake up, it will burn like crazy, but I'd rather deal with that. Not to mention the 3 days of pain and annoyance and lack of sleep sucked.

Peeing myself with stent. +Does it hurt puling it out?

So I had stones lasered and got a string stent put it. I'm on day two of the stent. Mind you I had a stent two weeks before this from a stuck stone. I take Ibu/Tylonel, Azo, Ceph and Tamnsouson (at night).

 1. I noticed I piss myself ALOT with a stent. I often can't sit more than a room away from the bathroom because if I get up, I instantly have to pee and can't hold it. I'm a male mind you. So my boxers are covered in orange medicine pee. Is this normal to have a lack of control?

 2. I have an appointment to get my stent removed tomorrow. I don't know if I can work up the nerve to do it myself. I read 57% of people experience medium to severe pain when pulling it out. Not sure if its true or not but that fact terrifies me. I accidentally pulled on the string yesterday night and it hurt like a MOFO. Does it hurt bad? If at all? I was told to sit in a warm shower and do it and not pull to fast nor to slow.

 3. Is the burning from peeing after it comes out as bad as the lithoscope burning when you pee after? Because that was pure hell. Thanks for any advice!

Endless pain in kidney with stent...

Had a blocked stone in my ureter and in my kidney blasted. Put in a stent with a string. This is day two. The first day was bad becacuse of burning pee but it went away. Today I woke up and have never ending kidney spasms. They get down to a 3 out of 10, and suiddeny go up to a 10 out of 10 for a few minutes. Never seem to stop. And peeing... nearly makes me pass out on the floor from the kidney spasm.

I assume this is normal? Not sure why I didn't feel it the first day. They do have me on hydrocodone but only have one left. I thought about taking my dads hydromorphone but I know that is WAY higher dosage and probably dangerous. Not sure what else to do. Also taking tylonel/ibuprofen every few hours.

Is pain/pressure in the middle of the penis normal with a string stent?

Never had a stent before. It has a string. I can pee a lot, not much blood, burns a lot. Problem is, as soon as I am done peeing, my penis shrivels up, and it feels like I got a drop of pee stuck somewhere between the middle and trunk of the penis. It feels like pressure, and the pain can go from 1 to 10 and back to 10 to 1 constantly. Is this normal? Is it not pee stuck and just a string pain? This makes me nervous, as they want me to pull it Friday (put in Wednesday). If I am in this much pain, even if tapping the string on accident, I can't imagine how painful it will be to pull it out. Or does the discomfort and pain lessen in such a short period? It's currently been 25 hours since it was put in.

Worst pain ever from stent, ugh. Questions about stones...

I'm sure this is nothing new on here as a topic. Never pass my stones. I have had kidneys stones before, all had to blasted and I got a pee bag catheter thing put in. Which did burn when it came out, but only the first 1-2 pees were 10 out fo 10 pain.

This time they put a stent in before hand for two weeks to drain my kidney (I only have one kidney left) due to a stone blocking. It was awful, constantly need to pee, also feels like your gonna have an orgasm (as a guy), but it doesnt stop, I couldn't even sleep. But at least it was an interntal stent, no string.

Went in yeterday and they removed the stent, blasted my stone and put in a stent with a string. WTF is this torture? It feels like the base of my penis is permanently being slit open by a falling razor blade. More so because its retracting and shurnk in from trauma. It's been 18 hours and its still shrunken in and painful. And if anyhting I wear bumps the string and sends me to the moon in agony. Had to wear a robe and tie a pillow in front of me so it doesn't hit my string.

This is pure hell. 9 out of 10 pain. But 11 out of 10 pain for peeing. It still burns, even worse then the first stent. They did put me on Trospiium, Tamusolsin, hydrocodone, azo and Cephalexin. Which maybe brought it down toa 9.5 out of 10. Dear lord. I also constantly feel like I have to poop, which, mind you the two weeks after my surgery I had diarrhea (they said if was from anesthesia or something)

And I have to pull this out in three days. I'm scared to death it will hurt pulling it out since it hurts currently just touching it. I also get confusing messages online about you want to pull fast or slow.

I have oxalate stones. My downfall is I enjoy pop, alot and salt. I was told no more pop and low salt. I was stubborn before in life and now that I have one kidney and a baby, I want to change how I eat/drink to avoid stones. I do enjoy raspberry tea by Arizona and Brisk but read it can contribute. (sigh) lol. I always got so bored drinking water all the time. But now I have no choice.

All I know is I never want a stent again.

Do people use bots to get surveys quicker? With such a long drought, I can't get anything.

Don't get me wrong, Prolific is amazing. The only legit survey site I've ever used. but with the drought and new users, I barely get surveys. I use a "refresh page" extension that refreshes my pages every few seconds. Problem is even with that, 90% of the surveys I click are full or whatever. My only thoughts are:

 1. People are quick.
 2. People are using bots to click said surveys instantly. Which I thought was against the rules.

Again, if not for the new users and drought, it wouldn't be as big of a deal because I sometimes can click them fast enough. I went from making $200-$600 a month to $60-$100 a month if lucky.
