My family (2 older adults, 2 young adults, 2 kids) are going to be in the upper keys (around Tavernier) in early July. Can anyone recommend good snorkeling excursions? Also, I’ve been looking at booking a fishing trip, but so far have not found anything that will accommodate 6 guests. I’m thinking we may have to split up to do some of these things. Can anyone give me some advice? The kids are good swimmers, we’d love to see some cool ocean life. Just trying to find things that can accommodate all of us.

I am looking for something drivable from the upper Hudson valley (Hudson area) to escape for a few days BY MYSELF. I am thinking some kind of retreat or spa that is very low key, I could go mid week to save money, and just be somewhere beautiful and quiet for a few days, maybe able to walk to an area with restaurants, maybe get some spa services, mostly just chill out in nature. I don’t want to spend an enormous amount of money, some of the places I’ve seen are $4-5k for 3 nights. That is out of my budget. I’m looking more for $1k-ish. It would be nice to have access to a hot tub or pool. And wine. Lots of wine. I need an escape from my family and or reasons I won’t go into my husband cannot object. I’m thinking June or mid July. Does anyone have any recommendations? Someplace soul-healing? I need it badly.
