Measurement help

I got a lovely 1980’s (as I can recall) Caribbean recipe book at it has a gorgeous beverage section but these measurements are both confusing and concerning so I thought I’d ask the experts because I don’t think a cocktail shaker can hold allat and bottles are subjective right? Do cups maybe mean something different?
