Question about repowering 445577 with 407777
I recently picked up an older Husqvarna mower (YTH 2348) with low hours (144) for $150. The story goes that an older guy had it and only used it for a few seasons before not being able to safely operate it anymore, so it sat for years. I got it home and got it running. It had obvious problems. I pulled a head and the piston didn't move when the crank was rotating. I pulled it apart and as you can see, it's a mess. This is the 445577 engine. I have the 407777 on an older mower that has a bad transmission. I would like to do the engine swap. I have already stripped the 445577 and have everything handy. I know it will physically fit, but the 407777 had a manual blade engagement lever where the 445577 has the electronic clutch. The question I really have is, does the 407777 have the mounting points for the electronics I pulled from the 445577? I figured I would swap the flywheel, stator, coils and all. I just drug the old mower out of the poison ivy before it got too dark to mess with it anymore today. I did a little bit of research about the compatibility between the two but it was not extensive. I'm hopeful that someone here will know. Thanks!
