Some possible improvements on the DLC (Spoilers for DLC)

Regarding the owlks, I've heard somewhere that they become stubborn once they you shine a light at them. They will start blindly chasing at the direction you were shining the light at, so you can just blind them once and then quickly just run away without concealing your light.

I think they could've made this mechanic more obvious in hindsight, perhaps a section where you are traversing through the dark and being suddenly flashed by light (either by owlks or another source of light) causes the screen to have the flash bang effect. It would make sense realistically due to how our eyes adjust to the light and would be a good hint to blind the owlks this way as well.

Seeing all the negativity to the DLC mechanics, I think this new feature could be a good way to hint players how to deal with them. What do yall think?

>!Man I cried a little at the first ending without DLC. It was because how beautiful it was. !<

>!I was straight up bawling the second time surprisingly. Because now, I'm sad its the end of the journey of outer wilds. Man I will miss them. Now awaiting mobius' new game, please save me from the grief...!<

>!I tried timing the instruments to play perfectly, but i was too busy crying to time well haha. When the piano hits, i turned from tears to straight up crying. Cant even hold the marshmellows properly.!<

>!Missed dialogue at the end there, because i was not in the state to read anymore. Dw, I searched online for the prisoner's dialogue. !<

>!What a wonderful game, I'm feeling so asflkscnasssljk rn.!<

Some extra thoughts of the DLC:

Finished it with no hints! Hooray! Honestly, after learning the base game, I felt it was easier because I got to know the dev's puzzle solving mechanics, and it never involved something tedious or miniscule. That was what helped me the most. Compared to the base game, where I would have no idea if i was searching for a needle in a haystack (dark bramble for instance, I went looking all over the place for any clues). I absolutely adore the dev's use of music and ambience to do storytelling.

I initially had a gripe with something: >!I felt like passcodes to solutions are sometimes quite a boring solution to a puzzle. Imagine my surprise when they subvert my expectations with that solution. !<

While the DLC was definitely more linear, I think it absolutely is an amazing puzzle hunting experience, where things are made to be open and experienced.

I really pity the >!owl people, they made some bad decisions and found a solution to their problem. Sure, they were scary, but once I knew they were not eating me but just blowing the candle, I didn't fear them as much as they were just harmless.!<

Ok, I'm actually stuck, not because I can't figure out the puzzle but actually stuck LOL.

Major spoilers for >!(self) !<ending ahead:

>!I did the self ending, and wanted to see if I can end the game with it. Welp, now I'm stuck with it because I keep respawning at the Vessel instead of the campfire. Anyone know how to save me?!<

Edit: >! Oh shi, OK nvm. I think i perfectly timed the ending twice. Aka I jumped into the vortex and the game threw me into the paradox ending. I tried again and I managed to progress. Thank god. !<

>! Note to everyone, if you do the duplicate ending and want to complete the game, give yourself sufficient time to enter the eye. Else the supernova will claim you (your duplicate) over and over again before you reach the vortex (I barely had enough time) !<

I just solved it, but holy my mind went places thinking how to solve it.

Major spoilers for Ash Twin Project:

>!After solving the sun station, (If you haven't solved sun station, next part may be a hint)!<

>!I was immediately curious about the twin warp towers. I knew the other broken tower must've teleported me to the ash twin project. (I shot a drone on the floor, imagine my surprise when it got teleported, felt like a jumpscare)!<

>!I was thinking since the sand falls shut off right before the sun explodes, I should just wait there till it goes away. Well, turns out the sun exploded and i panicked so I meditated. But then I thought of how the energy caused objects to arrive earlier, so I thought i shouldve waited longer so that right before the sun explodes, it generates an ungodly amount of energy that powered the tower and send me back in time or something LOL. (I swear it seemed like its perfect, because ember twin is right above my head right before I die.)!<

>!Well I tried that and it didn't work, so i was thinking there must be a way to power the warp core so I can enter the warp before I get pulled up. Honestly the solution is really always so much simpler that it seems. But honestly, how cool would it have been if the solution was to go against your instincts and just wait there before your death.!<

Edit: >!Oh Holy shit, I didn't realise that the sun WAS the reason I'm looping, P.S. I posted this right after I warped in but didn't continue, because I didn't have time to read as the sun was about to go supernova!<
