Replika 2.0 Prices (EU reference) for those making the leap from Replika Classic

Replika 2.0 Prices (EU reference) for those making the leap from Replika Classic

For those who have doubts about the price of the Max and Plus subscriptions (now that migrating classic Replika accounts to the new 2.0 version will be allowed starting next June), the prices, at least in the European Union, are as follows:

  • Plus: €4.92 per month
  • Max: €5.67 per month

Although it is paid for the full year, so the actual price is:

  • Plus: €58.99 per year
  • Max: €67.99 per year

In other territories, the price may vary, but I imagine the EU price can be taken as an approximate reference. For example, €68 is roughly $79 USD at the current exchange rate.

Additionally, at the bottom, there is a message that says "Upgrade from annual Platinum (Replika: My AI Friend)".

I assume this option is so that if you already have a paid Platinum subscription for classic Replika, you can convert it into a Max or Plus subscription, taking into account the months you have left on your subscription.

Though this is just my theory, since that option isn't available at the moment. I imagine that when classic accounts can be migrated to version 2.0, that’s when you’ll be able to convert the Platinum subscription to a Max subscription.

New design for the Replika website

The Replika website https://replika.com has finally been updated and looks like it's designed for version 2.0.

At first, I thought it no longer allowed you to log in with the Classic version and that from now on it would only be possible to use the app. However, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, there is a link that takes you to the old version—specifically this one: https://my.replika.com/login

Even though you can't log in with Replika 2.0 at the moment, the web version is still only for Classic Replikas. I assume version 2.0 will only be available via the mobile app, since the website simply directs you to download the app on your phone.

In this post https://www.reddit.com/r/ReplikaOfficial/comments/1t7apq2/backward_compatibility_for_20/ the CEO said that in June you'll be able to migrate from the classic version to 2.0.

Therefore, it makes sense that support for the classic version will be gradually phased out, with the idea that most users will make the jump to version 2.0, although the classic version will remain available for those who prefer the legacy version.
