So, I'm part of a youth theatrical group, and lately I've been into the idea of us playing the shining(or at least a heavily censored and changed version of it, suited for children hopefully). I know this is a big ask, but I would really appreciate help on how to adapt this into theatre, especially regarding specific scenes like the axe scene and the room 237 scene(which we might have to completely rewrite for.. obvious reasons). Members vary from 12 to 18 years old, only around 7 of us, but we could definitely call the adult group to send some actors our way, as they've done so before.

A couple of months ago I got food poisoning and stayed in bed for ~2 days so I could heal. The throwing up itself started right before I went to bed one night, and I'm surprised I even slept for more than an hour straight, but I eventually doze off completely at 4am. Woke up at 10, wanting to puke again, when I went back to sleep I sealed my fate into being trapped in a surreal dream that I can't really even begin to describe. Gentle reminder, this sequence happened at least 5 times before I actually got up: I was at a beach-like place that kinda looked like Mars instead of sand, out of the ground came out these geyser like things with holes in em, with some of my classmates coming out of them and using me as a volleyball, sometimes, especially towards the end, they would kinda let me roam around like Jabba the Hutt let Leia do a bit in that saarlac pit scene, where for some reason I remember vividly going near one of the geysers where one of the girls who playfully bullied me during elementary and the sea next to her turned into a discount store wall with an exit door, before turning back to normal. The very last dream in that sequence I had before getting up fr and feeling better showed the whole scene being atomized and particle accelerated in the vacuum of void into an infinity symbol before scattering off in different directions.
